I would recommend you contact the guest house well in advance to organize check-in - I sorted that out about a week before my stay and got very clear, easy to follow instructions. They were also able to help me get back into the house after I checked out but realized I had left something important back at the house. After seeing some reviews I was a little concerned about the neighborhood the property is...

"At one point, Rainbow Motel.may have been down, but the new owners are worki g to turn the experience around. What you get: a clean room with TV and a comfortable bed and shower. But, youre also RIGHT across from arguably one of the BEST bakeries in the country (Weber's Bakery -fresh morning sonuts and pastries), around the corner from Chicago's most popular beef sandwich (Portillo's), within a 2 minute walk of several other restaurants as well as an Aldi, Walgreens and Ace Hardware. BUT......

"The location was perfect. There are many dining options in walking distance and also supermarket, drug store etc. The room was spacious and clean. Access to the city is also good. "

"The outside didn't do it justice. We pulled up thinking it looked horrible, but as soon as we went inside it was amazing. Very modern and nicely modeled. The breakfast was amazing and sealed it. The cheese omelette hit the spot and the way pancake maker was an awesome thing for the kid. I would for sure stay here again if l came back to Chicago."
