"When we arrived, there was a mixup with the booking but they handled it really well. They gave us a room that we hadn’t booked which was fantastic. We then moved the next day into another lovely room. They bent over backwards and they couldn’t do enough for us it made my stay and my partners stay whose birthday it was on the Monday an absolutely fantastic time and may I just say thanks to Sam and the team for looking after us and making us so welcome. "The hotel has been tastfully refurbished but we did not feel valued as guests. First there was the email after booking. Most hotels use this to welcome you and tell you about some of the nice things to look forward to. This hotel just used it to tell me how wrong it woul, having paid in full upfront ,there was the demand for a £50 deposit on arrival. I was told it was to cover damages and was necessary "because the hotel was independent and couldn't afford to cover the losses". How sad! Hotel,...

"Lovely village location and excellent food! We had a room at the front but next time would ask for the back of the building as it was slightly noisy on a warm evening. But, highly recommend"

"Lovely setting, great welcome, food superb, staff friendly and helpful We had the suite (kingfisher) which was an excellent room except for a radiator being stuck on in the bathroom. The lady in charge (lovely lass) managed to get it sorted as the outside temp was up in the 30’s!!! If I have any criticism of the room, a little use of bleach would have gone a long way but please don’t let that put you off. The place is very very good. Mattress not great. Woke up with stiff back. Also rate down when asking front desk about a shuttle bus which might take us to our cruise ship, was met with a response of “I have no idea; I’ve never been on a cruise.”"
