"This is situated on a field and is absolutely spectacular surrounded by mountains. The property is appointed beautifully with large flower pots all over and the views are just amazing. The food in the restaurant was great, wonderful breakfast and great modern well appointed rooms. Would definitely recommend this as an A+ facility!"
"Historisk hotell i sveitserstil. Fikk et av de største rommene i romantisk stil med balkong og utsikt mot vann og fjell. Sengene var gode, romslig bad med god plass til toalettsaker. Litteratur på rommet « tips om hva gjøre lokalt og med bil innen en time». Rommet var rent. Restauranten hadde nydelig lokal mat. Vertskapet introduserte middagen med hva vi fikk å spise samt historien om hotellets opprinnelse og utvikling. Beliggenheten, helt ypperlig blant fjord og fjell."

Rent og pent på rommene. Gode senger. Hyggelig og serviceinnstilt betjening. Hotellet ligger ut mot en liten fjordarm av Sognefjorden. Lærdal er vakkert og bør sees. Like greit å bo her om du skal gå Kongevegen eller skal videre inn til Aurland, Flåm, Sogndal mm."

"This is a lovely property in a beautiful spot. We stayed in one of the historic rooms in the main building. It was comfortable, quiet, and the water pressure was excellent. The three course dinner with wine pairings was delicious and beautifully presented, if a tad pricey. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. A unique hotel experience that we would definitely do again."
"Well worth the price, spectacular surroundings offering fjord views and a sense of being a member of the traditional hotels. You can kayak, take a sauna, a dip if you are hardy enough. The breakfast was lovely, as was the dinner. And King Harald Fairhair was born in the neighborhood! "
