"Our stay at the hotel was overall just about acceptable. Nothing was fundamentally wrong, and we did have a good time, but it didn’t quite meet expectations in several areas. The food was quite average across the board. Breakfast in particular was rather limited in selection, and while everything was fine, nothing really stood out. The pub food was similar — generally OK. The fish and chips were actually quite good, but most of the other dishes were fairly ordinary. Service was a bit mixed. The breakfast staff were friendly and welcoming, which we appreciated. However, the experience at reception was less consistent — most of the ladies came across as somewhat lukewarm, and one or two interactions felt outright rude. Another downside was the noise insulation. The walls are extremely thin, and you can hear almost everything from neighboring rooms, which did affect the comfort of our stay. That said, the hotel does offer good value for money, and for a short stay it works. However, given the overall experience, we would likely choose a different hotel in the area next time."

"Room was clean but cold. Temo on air con set to 21 degrees but felt very cold. Could not be changed. There was a dyson fan in the room too but no remote control. Bar food was very slow. We waited at least 45 mins for our food. Steak was practically cold and poor quality too. Breakfast was low quality. Fully self service with no choice of coffees. Dissapointing for a 4star hotel. "

"Pleasant bar with a good atmosphere. The room was clean and tidy and the bed was comfortable. We had some food in the restaurant that was fine without being exceptional and it was reasonably priced. Overall it was a pleasant stay."

"Food, staff and public areas were excellent, however our room on the 4th floor was furnished with a very old Wardrobe, a very old chair and bedside tables. Many door and drawer handles were missing. The wardrobe doors needed fiddling to close them. The arm on the chair was broken. Regarding the 4th floor location the seagulls need to be dealt with. The dawn chorus from them was not what was needed on our stay."
