Quaint property offering peace and quiet in the Tuscany foothills. The food is excellent and the staff is more than willing to make your stay comfortable and memorable. We spent one afternoon by the pool in a luxurious cabana. For those traveling with large groups, keep in mind this is a smaller boutique hotel that is a 10-minute taxi ride to the town of Siena & you must make dinner reservations each night as they account for food quantity. The staff truly made our stay memorable!

Mooi locatie

Mooi omgeving, fenomenale uitzichten. We sliepen in de Tiziano, mooi ruime kamer (gezin met 3). Lekker basis ontbijt, personeel was ook heel behulpzaam. Dicht bij Siena… Enige minpunten: Was de belachelijk meerprijs 50€ per nacht voor een mobiele plooibed waar je eigenlijk geen kind meer van 12 jaar kan laten inslapen. Door een storm/onweer is alles weggewaaid en vuil geworden , alles werd netjes opgeruimd. Behalve het zwembad zat vol met slijk/bladeren en daar hebben we 2 dagen moeten in zwemmen. Dat vonden we wel jammer…

Very clean, chic and romantic place! We only stayed for one night but would have stayed move if we had more time. Pool is clean and modern, and the rooms have a more classic and ancient style. The staff is really polite. We would come back!

This was a lovely hotel in a very scenic area. It is an easy 15 minutes in Siena and good staging point for Tuscan exploration. Breakfast included was a wonderful spread of pastries, fruit, yogart, coffee/juice/water and on weekdays was available 8-10 am. The office manager went above and beyond to assist us with lost luggage(by airlines) which was very appreciated.

Local maravilhoso pertinho de Siena (10 mins de carro) com uma vista linda da Toscana. Silencioso, confortável. Funcionários educadíssimos. Café da manhã honesto. Não experimentamos o restaurante do local, mas havia um chef e é necessário reservar. Ficamos no quarto Caravaggio que possui uma hidro privativa aquecida no.lado externo. Toma-se um vinho observando a linda vista dos vinhedos. Valeu muito. Custo-benefício muito bom

The only thing worse than this property was the attitude of the management. This property is completely misrepresented. It is not a property with luxurious furnishings and expensive paintings as stated on their website. In fact it is exactly the opposite. The rooms are austere and uncomfortable. The bed was low and hard and if you sat on the couch in the sitting room, you nearly touched the floor. The bathroom was the nicest room. The are no window furnishings except poor quality wooden shutters. There is no mention that external stairs need to be taken, then a dreary passageway to enter your room. The website gives the impression that all suites are on the ground floor. We told management that we didn’t like the room and they said they were booked out and couldn’t make a change. When we refused to stay another room suddenly became available. Even though the accommodation failed to meet acceptable standards, the manager Francesco wouldn’t give us a refund. He then said he would refund two days and more if he could resell the room. Our searches continually showed the room as full on their own website and all other sellers of this property, including Expedia. When I asked Francesco to explain this, he was rude and didn’t care. Fortunately we had American Express on our side and eventually received a full refund. Don’t leave home without them. This is why I will not stay in air B and B or privately owned properties. If you are considering this property, DO NOT STAY HERE.

Beautiful setting

Staying at the Villa Castagno was a highlight of our trip. The setting is beautiful. The staff is friendly and helpful. It was easy to get a taxi into Siena for the evening, which avoids the hassle of parking in Siena. The furnishings in the sitting room were not at all comfortable. In spite of that one issue, I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel has an incredibly beautiful setting. There are 360 degree views of amazing rolling hills. The room was perfect and did everything needed and stayed cool in the day. We’d love to go back, it was fantastic.

Amazing views of the Tuscan hills! The hotel is situated in a beautiful location outside of Siena. The staff were exceptionally helpful from check in to check out. One thing to remember is the restaurant only provides (delicious) meats and cheeses on a Monday evening.

O hotel é muito bem cuidado, os quartos são amplos, limpos, bem decorados. O lugar é muito lindo. Quando chegamos nos foi dado upgrade sem custos, pois havia um quarto melhor disponível nas datas que estaríamos no local. O café da manhã é muito bom (o melhor que tivemos na Itália). Fica bem próximo de Siena (cerca de 15 minutos de carro). Vale a pena ficar no local pela tranquilidade, conforto, bem-estar que dormir no campo proporciona. Para quem estiver viajando de carro sem dúvidas o local é uma das melhores opções para se hospedar na Toscana. Custo benefício excelente! Equipe atenciosa, lugar lindo e agradável próximo da encantadora Siena!
