"Good location, safe area, convenient to shops and restaurants. Hotel amenities are above expectations with slippers and night apparel provided as well as toiletries if you forgot anything. We opted for no breakfast for our pre-stay but our tour used the same hotel and included breakfast which has a good variety of breakfast offerings with hot and cold options."
"We loved the room for being clean and a nice big bathroom! Great staff that were so approachable to help with checking in and out, sending luggage to the next location and very generous in helping us plan around Kyoto as well. "
"Hilton Kyoto sets the standard for hospitality in every sense. From the moment you see the building. The use of space, design of the building is pleasing to the eye. Proof that huge landscaping, a beach backdrop is not required to have a nice property. It’s classy, functional, welcoming. Talk about welcoming, our tiny drama had nothing to do with the hotel, but the staff made it their own. Osaka baseball tickets scheduled for delivery did not arrive as planned. Super Tigers fan YUI came to the rescue. Her patience encouragement for over an hour gave us hope. Takuma, at the front desk a couple of days later help us call seller and the issue was resolved. Taiyo from concierge who I never got to meet was very helpful from Miami. Yes breakfast was awesome with many goodie’s. Our room was extremely clean, portioned to create privacy and gain functionality. Before I forget; the staff looked like they al came out of VOGUE magazine + full of kindness. I hope I enjoy another stay at Hilton Kyoto. The new standard We will use to compare future hotel stays. Thank you very much, Sincerely AJ & IJ"
"We stayed in a Kotone room with private bath. Spacious and comfortable with separate seating area. The hotel is very beautiful and exceptionally clean. Staff were very attentive and helpful despite our language differences. Breakfast buffet is extensive and of high quality. Keiseke dinner was a 9 course adventure- excellent service and delicious food. Some culinary culture differences but a true Japanese experience. Yumotokan will always be a highlight memory of our time in Japan."
"Exceptionally nice staff. Beautiful onsen and most of the time had the whole onsen to myself, and it’s limited to 4 people at a time at max. The breakfast was amazing. Really nice garden view from our room which is shared with other rooms but felt private. There are also lots of shops and temples to explore in Ohara that are much less crowded than Kyoto. "
"It's a peaceful hotel surrounded by gorgeous mountains. It provides a traditional Japanese experience. I'd recommend it to anyone visiting Japan. It has an onsen, so no private bathroom (toilets are also public). You sleep on a futon that you set up yourself. The staff provides dinner and breakfast and they play an instrumental Studio Ghibli soundtrack in the background while you dine to add to the peaceful atmosphere (everyone gets the same meal, you don't order it). There's wifi. The little table in your room is heated. There's a provided yukata that you can use during your stay. The staff is very friendly. They even give you a ride to the bus station in the morning if you want it. Otherwise, it's a 13 minute walk. But the walk in beautiful, because the town is beautiful."
