Probobly the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Area is incredibly beautiful as well. Make sure to have lunch at the information center next to the train station.

Even when you are far from Kyoto downtown, you just have to walk like 10 minutes to get a train station. The Hotel is beautiful and it was the best room I stayed on

We liked the kindness of the staff. They were very eager to help but language difficulty with most of the staff. It would be helpful that the staff could propose and arrange activities. The environment was very beautiful and peaceful. Easy acces to Kyoto by train.

It was my first time visiting Kyoto and I picked this hotel due to its great reviews. The staff was so kind -always attentive and helpful regarding any needs that I had. I was always greeted the second I entered the lobby as well as around the hotel. I booked the garden view room -it was amazing. It had a large balcony that opened up into the Japanese garden that the hotel perfected! There was so much space -two bathrooms, a living room, a tatami mat area, and a double bed. I am a clean freak, and I don't think I've seen a cleaner hotel room in my life. They also offered great pajamas. I utilized the sauna Cypress room -it was essentially your own private spa. Make sure to book their saunas in advance as their reservations do fill up. Breakfast was included every day. The food was good (they had American options and Japanese options). The restaurant overlooked the Japanese garden. I could sit there forever. The only downside of the hotel is that it is a bit far from the downtown area. I utilized Uber and there was one night that I couldn't get a car for so long (I tried for hours) that I ended up missing my dinner reservation. There is a train close-by however you do have to trek uphill a bit to and from the train. I was also with my mother who couldn't do hilly walks so the train wasn't an option. The car ride to the downtown area was about 30 minutes with traffic. Sometimes more or less. I still think the hotel was worth it and would stay again despite the location.

I loved everything about the Moksa Hotel! The accommodation is a bit out of the way, but still easy to reach by subway and bus. The hotel is located at the foot of a mountain with a forest and a river, and is very quiet! The staff was great, the rooms were stunningly beautiful, and the spa, which you could book as an additional option, was a dream. The garden is definitely the highlight. Drinks at the bar and in the room are free. If you don't want to book dinner, you can also order delivery. One thing that could be improved is that there is also fruit or yoghurt at breakfast. It was one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in! I definitely want to come back!

반지하 곰팡이 냄새나는 기본 싱글룸

최악이었습니다... !!!!! 호텔 담당자님들은 이글 보고 꼭 시정 하면 좋겠습니다. 정말 기대하고 간 교토에서의 마지막 날 호텔이었습니다. 가장 저렴한 방을 예약하긴 했지만 반지하라는 설명은 없었습니다. 설명만 1층이지 로비층보다 아래에 있어서 반지하나 다름없습니다. 전망은 없으며 방에 들어서자마자 곰팡이 냄새가 너무 많이 났습니다. 반지하인것도 속은것 같았는데 곰팡이 냄새가 너무 나서 방을 바꿔달라 요청하여 바꿨지만 마찬가지였습니다. 좀더 위층으로 올라가기 위해선 돈을 더 지불 하라고 합니다. 그럼 애초에 예약할때 반지하라는 표기가 되어 있어야지요. 반지하인줄 알았으면 해당 호텔 선택도 하지 않았을 것입니다. 화장실에서는 더더욱 곰팡이 냄새가 많이 났으며 수건등에 곰팡이 냄새가 다베여 있었습니다. 정말 거북 했습니다. 저녁과 조식을 주긴 하지만 저렴하지 않은 비용입니다. 술도 무료로 먹을수 있지만 교토 비어 말고는 저렴하거나 와인이 오래되어 맛이 없습니다. 교토에서 왕복 택시비민 10만원이 더 추가 되는데 70만원의 비용을 내고 갈만큼 좋은 곳은 아닌거 같습니다. 교토 시내에 10만원짜리 비지니스 호텔보다 냄새며 청결도가 좋지 않고 돈이 너무 아까웠습니다. 아침과 저녁식사는 괜찮았지만 교토 시내에 차라리 힐튼이나 메리어트에 예약하고 맛있는 식사 먹는게 훨씬 나을거 같네요. 주위에 아무것도 없어서 오실 분들은 꼭 조식 + 디너 코스를 이용해야 할것 같습니다. 아무튼 교토에서 이렇게 호텔에 만족하지 못했던 적은 처음입니다. 당장 시정하세요! 기본 방은 반지하 방이라고요! 곰팡이 냄새가 너무너무 역합니다!!!!
