We booked this hotel due to its location, next to the subway station and one of the bus stops for the airport limousine bus. However, we were disappointed with the check-in reception as well as the lack of communication from the hotel. After we completed our check-in, we went back to reception to enquire about the airport limousine bus schedule. Only then did the staff realised that she had forgotten to inform us that there will be an outage of power supply to the entire hotel due to a electrical safety inspection for 3 hours on our 2nd night of stay. The hotel did not highlight this during our booking, nor informed us by email before we arrive for our stay (Expedia did not highlight this as well). If this is a mandatory inspection, the date should have been known beforehand and the hotel should announce this publicly and inform guests whom have made reservations, and offer the option to guests to either keep or cancel the reservation. Unfotunately, we were left with no such choice but to stay in the room with no aircon, no TV, no hot bath water, and in darkness (saved for the emergency light at the room entrance). The only saving grace was that power was restored an hour later, earlier than the 3 hours stated. It was unfortunate our stay experience was marred by this incident.
