Very convenient location. Really basic and small room. Toilet gets wet during shower. Extremely noisy - construction site nearby, I'm being waken up 7am every morning by loud construction noises.
I give all rate excellent because im not that serious about the bathroom and the size of the room. Overall, what if i travel to South Korea again i am going to book this hotel again.
Such a great location, staff was very nice and helpful. When I needed a conversion plug she had one for me to use. There’s an area on one of the floors if you want to sit down and eat and get water. Other stays went for more than double the price and didn’t offer more than just a bed. Definitely will be back!

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Staff are great. Especially the cleaning ladies. However, the air ducts must be cleaned. Air conditioner smells musty.

Disliked: Amenities
The hotel is very basic but it is also very cheap - you get what you pay for.
The street immediately outside the hotel looks very untidy and there's also a lot of building work going on but if you walk for just a minute or two you're into the amazing Myeongdong shopping area with loads of restaurants and food stalls at night. It's a short walk to the Myeongdong metro station.
The rooms are very small which is OK but some minor changes would make it better. The only towels provided are tiny hand towels which are useless for having a shower. There's no chair in the room, just a stool.
The toilet and basin are in the shower cubicle so if you have a shower everything gets wet - you need to move everything out before you can shower.
There's a router and TV set top box on the small table - if they could be mounted on the wall or under the table it wouldn't look so cluttered.
I like a firm bed but this one was far too hard - perhaps put on a mattress topper to make it a bit more comfortable.
A power socket by the bed and a small table would be nice.
Obviously, the location is the best part about this stay. You're just a very short walk down a single alley away from the Myeongdong shopping streets, which itself is the center of Seoul. Two subway stations and other bus stations are also within short walking distance.
I love the small shared kitchen on each floor, with dishes and utensils you can use and wash afterwards, as well as stove, microwave, and even community refrigerator. The washer and dryer appear to be free to use (no coins needed)! There is also a free water dispenser with both cold and hot water. During our stay, there was a group of 3 women who monopolized the kitchen, and that was frustrating.
The room was tiny. The bed had a huge dip on one side. The bathroom is toilet, shower, and sink, all in one small combined space, so the toilet will get drenched when you take a shower. Toilet paper and towel bar are attached to the back wall where shower water comes out, so those do stay dry. Mini fridge is in the room, and does work. Room also has its own wi-fi, so you don't share with other residents. Room advertises pocket wi-fi available for rent at low prices, but the hotel staff says that hasn't been available since COVID. You do have to take your shoes off when you get off the elevator for your floor. There is a shoe locker for your room number, where you trade your shoes for provided slippers. There is another pair of slippers that you use only for the cramped bathroom.
Low price made the stay okay.
As other reviews, there was mold on the wall but we stayed for only 2 nights to it isn’t too bad. Very hard to find because all we could find was “ziyolk hotel” but we booked for k-pop residence. I think they rebranded or something. Also it’s location is through an alley so not obvious.
The room was also very tiny.
The location was excellent and service was good. I would rebook it only for the location, extremely convenient.

The electric sockets were almost non existent and near the ceiling! Old school key locks that I don’t think is safe anyone can copy keys! And the bank beds were very tiny I felt I was in a kids room! But apart from that it was right in the center and it was close enough to walk to the main sites!
Initially I thought the location was kind of scary for women who were travelling alone but that’s not the case. It’s in the back of the busy street there were no noise at all at night. I felt very safe in the area.
The staff were amazing, for the price, they do so much more than the pricey places. Each floor had their own kitchen and laundry (no dryer, I hanged my laundry in my room 😂), I had a lovely view of Namsan Tower from our kitchen. Will come back again
