My room felt both luxurious and serene, blending modern comfort with Kyoto’s understated elegance. The service was another major highlight. Every staff member I encountered was warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to making my stay seamless. They went above and beyond to help secure dinner reservations, which I deeply appreciated. One small example of their thoughtful service: after I asked for additional water on one of the days, the staff proactively ensured I had extra water prepared for the rest of my stay without needing to ask again. Overall, MUNI Kyoto delivered a beautiful, tranquil, and memorable experience. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Arashiyama and would absolutely return."

"This is a traditional ryokan with onsen facilities, and we chose the half-board option. The kaiseki dinner was excellent—beautifully presented and far more food than anyone could realistically finish. Breakfast was also outstanding, with the choice of either a Japanese or Western-style meal. The resort is slightly removed from the main tourist area of Arashiyama, located across the river and close to one of the train stations, though not the most central lines. This does make it feel quieter, but also means a bit more travel if you're exploring the area. The staff were wonderful—warm, attentive, and helpful throughout our stay. The onsen facilities were extremely relaxing and perfect after a full day of hiking. Overall, a classic ryokan experience with exceptional meals and hospitality."
