The hotel is completely new. It respects all the good standards of the Japanese market. Clean and comfortable. I would definitely come back there when visiting Sapporo. There are only 3 minus that you can easily fix and I am sure they will be fixed next time I visit.
One is about urine smell in the bathroom when I first entered. Please be sure to rinse well the bathtub!
The second one is about the english level of the staff. They are very good at serving you and will do everything to satisfy you, but for an hotel at this level you would expect a little more fluency, especially for the basic and repetitive situation (check-in, check-out). Please train them more to improve their english level! I know that under Covid-19 you have 90% of local customers, but you should take advantage of that and be ready when the borders re-open. Remember you will have Olympics there! Invest in your staff!!!!
The third one is about the very strict check-in policy. I know it's the norm in Japan and you always impose the respect of the check-in time, but honestly you are the only country in the world to be so strict on that. Even if the room is not ready, please, don't make me come back again just to get the keys. I mean, you already did all the procedure with passport and forms, you just need to give me the key. Just tell me that I can't access before a certain time. I understand and will respect that limit but at least I am free to visit the city and enjoy museums with a free mind.
