"This boutique hotel was super clean, smelled amazingly fresh everytime we entered the hotel, valet parking was top notch (never waited more than 5 minutes for our car, location could not be beat with entry/exit right onto State street with tons of shopping and restaurants (I highly recommend Angie’s a few blocks away), and very helpful and friendly staff. Hotel and a small but functional gym which we used a couple of times. Only drawbacks were limited on site food options (no real restaurant). Just a lobby bar with a couple food items. Lastly, this may have been the unluck of the draw but we were in Room 201 and were awoken everyday to loud banging metal noises that sounded like a laundry shoot ran through the middle of our room. Not sure how many rooms are affected but to be honest, when you pay this much for a boutique hotel experience, NONE of the rooms should have to deal with this noise nuisance every day!!"

"Room was clean, but had multiple light bulbs that were out and a bathroom light/fan switch that didn’t work. Staff was not very friendly. Location is good, with lots of restaurants within walking distance."

"Breakfast was ok, bread/pastries were very processed/packaged, sausage and eggs were mediocre and eggs were watery; not too many options, cheap/Smart and Final-purchased products; the room had some mold in the bathroom and could have been better cleaned in many areas; vending machines advertised were empty and decrepit; better toiletries would be nice; in-room tea would have been nice; property overall was a little funky and not clean or updated"

"The place was recently renovated cutely. It was clean. Great location, within walking distance to zoo, beach and a couple of nice restaurants. Just a couple of issues. We were 2 adults and two children. We had a room with two beds. The room was tiny. The beds were double size mattress (smaller than queen) and the room was so small that they were pressed up against each wall. The rooms air conditioner was literally touching the bed, making it impossible to turn it on at night without getting sick. The mattresses were extremely hard. The room had no Kleenex, iron, coffee maker. We were given only two washcloths for four people, and when my husband went to the office and asked for more, he was told they were out. They allowed dogs, unfortunately, the dog in the room next to us started barking at 5 o’clock in the morning and on. They did have coffee in the lobby in the morning. Overall, it was good, they could improve on some things. "

"Hotel is on the older side and rooms are laid out in a strange fashion. No restaurant on site any longer, it was replaced with a bar. Overall in a great location."
