The staff wasn’t too helpful, great location for some things like Niju castle and Fushimi Inari. Overall lobby 5 stars, rooms three stars, staff three to four depending on who you ask."

"The room was very small, as was the bathroom. I was surprised that the hotel did not provide water to drink. No bottled water or a station to fill our water bottles. This was a very different experience to the hotel we had in Tokyo. Water is a basic necessity, the hotel should look into their policy on this."

They are militant about taking your shoes off here, we loved the free dessert bar, but overall the hotel was absolutely packed with tourists and kind of crazy. The staff, however, went above and beyond to take care of every need we had. The rooms are small for us Americans but the bed was comfortable. "
