"I stayed two nights in a private room, the ladies on reception were so friendly and helpful with helping book my activities, they’ve really created a welcoming and chilled vibe. The kitchen and outdoor area is lovely. There’s everything you need both in the property and nearby. It was very chilly at night but was provided with extra blankets, the strong wind was a little noisy with plants hitting my window but I didn’t mind and always take earplugs in case of outside noise. It was super clean....

"Breakfast was ok the fruits were fresh but the gallo pinto to dry. The rooms are big but outdated. No air conditioning. The surrounds are beautiful. If you don’t need air conditioned you will be fine. The bed is not comfortable neither the pillows. "

"I stayed at the Lost Iguana for 9 days and it was absolutely incredible. The staff were absolutely amazing and treated me like I was family. I cannot say enough good things about this resort. I saw lots of wildlife on the property and the landscaping and resort were stunning. I will definitely be back in the future! "

"Frustrated with our experience. I thought he had booked us a room with a private bathroom, but we were told at check in that it would be shared. We asked if they could switch us and the gentleman at the Front Desk said they were full but walking around the property that evening and the next morning we saw very a few cars in the parking lot. Plenty of rooms with windows, open undisturbed that we could’ve been moved too. It was not convenient for me to walk down a dark unit outdoor hallway to find...

"The food and drink are amazing! It is a beautiful setting over looking the lake. They have their own farm on sight and we were able to visit the animals--including baby pigs and horse. Highly recommend!"

"We enjoyed our stay at Rancho de Lelo. The staff was welcoming, knowledgeable, and friendly. They booked activities for us in Monteverde and recommended a great restaurant. The breakfast was quick and fresh. It was a pretty property though we didn’t get to explore much as we spent most of our time up in Monteverde. "

"The Retreat is gorgeous. The views of the Volcano and Lake are amazing. The pescatarian menu is perfect for vegetarians and pescatarians. All three meals are served. We did not have meals included but very much enjoyed dinner and breakfast there. The pocket sized gathering places are charming - slider over looking lake, dining room and reception, the separate lounge area with tea and coffee looking into the jungle. The evening walk was fun. The property is on the top of a very steep hill...

"I cannot say enough about our stay here. The owner helped my friend picking herbs and making a tea to settle her stomach. They ensured we had enough towels and checked in daily with us. Theu staff were very helpful. They have just added 2 new rooms and the views aroind the property were perfect. There is a swinging bridge you walk over to get to breakfast in the morning and they follow their schedule it was perfect and i am already planning my next visit back"

"My stay at sangregado lodge was great. The room was beautiful. It was raining a lot but we still had an opportunity to see the volcano straight from our room. Staff was very attentive and nice. We didn’t rent a car but we had access to shuttles and taxis that could take us anywhere. I think id recommend getting a car though as it might be a bit more cost efficient, but overall either is doable. There’s a lot of winding roads and there are no restaurants on the property so we had to travel about...
