Carroll was very friendly & helpful as was the young lady who worked the reception & Luis, the security was great, too. Beautiful boutique hotel with the cutest little coffee shop. "I stayed in a King Deluxe room at thought it was great value. The staff were all excellent, the hotel restaurant was great and the pool was large. Plus, the location was ideal (close enough to walk to the market / downtown but removed enough to be quiet) and there's a large grocery store directly across the street if you want snacks / sunscreen etc. I would certainly stay at Midas Belize again."

"The bed was so comfortable and the king suite was huge like an apartment. We loved this hotel on a pedestrian-only street in San Ignacio. The hotel provided free water and had a well stocked kitchen for light cooking and reheating. 10/10 would stay here again. Close walk to farmers market and many restaurants."

"The cabin was pleasant, had basic necessities. I deducted two stars because there was absolutely NO COMMUNICATION from the host. The site said there would be no one present at check in and directions would be sent prior to arrival. I heard nothing, even after reaching out multiple times. I was concerned about arriving in early evening and not knowing how to get in. Turns out there was a lock with a key in it in the front door. Also, not this host’s fault, but it was IMPOSSIBLE to get through...

"They never contacted me to give me information on how to access the property, and did not respond to messages. I was forced to last minute rebook over the Holidays, and now hotels are refusing to give me a full refund."

Rod showed us around the family land and the farm, and we drank fresh coconut water. We ate local foods prepared in a lovely setting on the property. We hope to be back some day. "For anyone looking for a small beautiful hidden gem resort close to San Ignacio, I'd highly recommend Villa Massis in Bullet Tree Falls! It's only a quick 10 min drive into San Ignacio. We had a 2-bedroom suite for the 4 of us and it was perfect. We booked airport transportation, transfer to Placencia, several rides into San Ignacio and all of our tours with them. Staff was friendly and went out of their way to help us."
