Lovely property in a very beautiful rural area. The pool is large and cool. The waitresses, especially Franchesca, are very helpful.

This was a great historic place to stay, central to many of the locations we wanted to visit. We stayed a week, they had a good breakfast and excellent four course meals for dinner. It was nice to return and have a great dinner after a day of exploring. The rooms were clean and comfortable and everyone there was very nice and helpful.

This was an actual working Agritourismo farm. The meals were excellent. Their wines are outstanding ( made on the property). Rooms are excellent! We will return!

Wonderful country house in Palermo’s hills

We loved this tranquil getaway, far up in vineyard-covered hills above Palermo. Close enough to Palermo, yet far enough away for a restful stay. Food, staff & pool were fantastic & enough rooms to feel spacious & not crowded. We loved our stay!

Amazing views and beautiful surroundings.

Hvis man søger et roligt sted, hvor man kan geare helt ned efter en travl hverdag, er man kommet til det rigtige sted. Poolen er åben 24/7 med fine toiletter, omklædningsrum og udendørs bruser. Der udleveres store badehåndklæder i receptione, som man også kan låne, hvis man skal til stranden. Stedet ligger et stykke fra de større veje med udsigt til bjerge hele vejen rundt. Man hører næsten kun lyde fra dyr - æsler, frøer (mødte en på størrelse med en lille håndbold) og høns, samt bjælder på får og køer. Vi købte 4 retters menu hver aften til 28 €. En flaske husets egen vin koster 15 €. Personalet var i den grad imødekommende og venlige.

Honestly, it was very underwhelming. The location was lovely. The views are amazing. We arrived and checked into our room, which was just okay. No kettle in the room and the shower was just an attachment over the bath with no screen or even curtain. They did have a mini fridge in the room. One of the sockets didnt work but oh well. The window opened to a great view unfortunately pigeons had caused a mess all over the windowsill which hadnt been cleaned as it was the same the next day. It boasts a 24hr reception, I checked Expedia and their own website to see if there were any better rooms available and there were, but when I went to reception at around 8pm I stood there for 10 minutes until a gentleman who was hosting wine tasting went and got someone. I asked If we could pay to upgrade and they told me that today isnt possible as someone had just checked out, even though Expedia showed 2 different rooms available and their own website showed rooms available. They said tomorrow after breakfast. We decided against it as we were only staying one more night. The breakfast, although fine. Pastries etc. No self serve coffee, they have cereal but you need the bartender to poor your milk. The coffee was shocking, im not sure if it was made bad or that is just how it tasted. Pool was fine but there was a dead frog in there for 2 days so didnt bother swimming. Location 5/5 Amenities 2/5 Staff 2/5 Food - didnt eat there as it was a fixed menu and nothing took our liking.

Secluded hotel in Sicilian countryside

Beautiful place to stay, wish we'd booked a longer stay. Definitely need a car, but that makes the holiday more adventurous! Hotel was fantastic- the staff, the room and the food they served was second to none. Well worth a second visit, we left Sicily having felt like we had a proper break from our busy lifestyles back in the UK. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family!

A lovely old farm away from it all

This 500 year old farm that is really pushing to get the best from ‘Agriturismo’ is a lovely spot to relax. The staff are lovely and eager to help with anything you need. They provide the food for lunch and dinner from their own produce, from olive oil to excellent wines. My one criticism would be that I would have liked in our apartment to have had either a sofa or easy chairs because at the end of the day when you’re not yet ready for bed and you want to read, sitting on a dining chair is not relaxing. If you enjoy walking, you’ll enjoy this place...

Short Autumn stay

Spent three nights at Masseria La Chiusa. Nice and rustic, very pleasant and comfortable stay but just missing out on the agriturismo experience I was hoping for. Despite that, we had a nice large mezzanine style room, I particularly liked the balcony with table and chairs affording a great views across the valley. Was a little disappointed with the breakfast and eve meal, I'm sure it could be a lot more imaginative with a more sicilian flavour given the lovely fresh produce available, so only dined the one night and ate out for the remainder.

A perfect place to relax.

Such a beautiful place. Spectacular views and the accommodation, food and hospitality was of the highest standard. The owners and staff were so friendly, welcoming and helpful. A highly recommended establishment.

Views to die for.

My husband and I spent 10 days at this lovely hotel. it was everything we wanted and more. it is a family run business and they are so welcoming and so nice. Nothing is too much trouble.The pool was absolute bliss, very clean and inviting. The food was of a high standard, and we enjoyed it very much.So anyone reading this, just go, then you will see how good it is.

L'agritur é fuori del paese e perció molto tranquillo. La gente é molto cordiale e amichevole. I pasti e il vino molto buoni, prodotti della zona.

Great place to relax

A fantastic place to escape, relax and eat well. You will need a car to get there but if a relaxing getaway is what you need then this place is it. Main meals were excellent with fresh produce, naturally from the farm. Quiet and a pool to cool down in if you want. If the opportunity arises we will definitely be back.

My wife and stayed at Masseria La Chiusa for a long weekend a few weeks ago (September 2015). While the hotel and its rustic surroundings were lovely, the thing that sets apart this spot is the super helpful staff. We arrived quite late on a Saturday night, but the staff was able to prepare a dinner for us and relocate us to a room that they thought we would like better (the new room had a terrace overlooking the valley) all the same. They also helped us to sort out our travel arrangements in the area (they work with a delightful local driver) as well as with helping us figure out our trip to the east coast with public transportation. In addition, because the hotel is also a working farm, the restaurant menu changes daily depending on what has been harvested that day. And though the restaurant is good on a daily basis, we highly recommend the Sunday brunch - a 4 course feast that was heavily trafficked by locals from the surrounding villages. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to getting back there soon.
