"I have traveled to Bologna on quite a few occasions over the past 40 years....and this is the one place I can't imagine not staying at next time I visit. Historic building, beautiful views, lovely accommodations, wonderfully located, delicious breakfast - and most of all, a truly special host. One caveat, there are stairs (though the owner will take care of baggage), so if you are mobility restricted, you would need to take that into consideration."

"Very clean room, wonderful helpful staff, seedless check in. All the amenities were as stated. Great location, close to plenty of restaurants and bars. We did not have the breakfast, but we were able to store our food and use the kitchen supplies for our own breakfast."

"Property was in a part of central Bologna a way (30 min walk) from main attractions except the 2 towers. It was entirely self-service and the room locks worked with difficulty. One has to carry around 4 mets keys - front door, main reception, corridor with guest rooms and one’s own room. The breakfast was minimal, but one doesn’t starve. Area is not entirely safe - I was accosted by aggressive beggars twice. Soap bars were tiny and not replaced. Towels were not exchanged unless one asks.it is...

"The hotel is lovely. Many of the high ceilings are frescoed and the floors are marble. Although our room was not large it was well appointed and luxurious w upholstered wall and fine lenin sheets. Our room was ver quiet as well. The location for the hotel is perfect! "

"This lovely hotel is located in the historic area of Bologna, making it easy to walk to all the sites you want to see as well as wonderful restaurants. The staff is so helpful with dining recommendations. The breakfasts are delicious, with yummy hot options as well as buffet items. "The apartment was perfect for our first night in Bologna. Checking in in the late evening wasn't a problem, and our host was super responsive to text. We never met anyone in person, but it was fine because we received quick and detailed responses to any questions we had. "Wir sind für eine Nacht im Dopa Hostel geblieben, da uns bei der Auswahl schon die zentrale Lage in der Altstadt gefallen hat. Dort angekommen wird man sofort freundlich empfangen. Das Personal ist überaus hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer und die Räumlichkeiten überhaupt sind liebevoll gestaltet mit unzähligen Details. Wir freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Besuch in Bologna und dann auch unbedingt wieder im Dopa. Grazie mille! :)"

"We had a lovely stay in one of the family rooms. It was a great space for our family of 4 especially the balcony with a view of one of the cities towers. The location was perfect, easy walking distance from the main sights and a bakery right by the anpartment entrances. The self check in was very straight forward."
