"I stayed in the women’s-only Dormitory A and had a wonderful experience overall. My dorm mates were all incredibly kind, and I even made a lovely new friend during my stay. It was such a unique experience meeting people from different parts of the world, and I'm so glad this was my first hostel experience. One area that could be improved is the check-in process. I arrived around 9:30 p.m., but there was no one at the front desk. One of the staff members told me someone would be with me shortly,...

"I stayed here when I flew into San Jose. It's close to the airport, it's in a safe gated neighborhood. Dinner is available, breakfast is included. I will stay here again when I depart Costa Rica."

"This was our second time staying here and we love this place! Staff is very helpful, and made the effort to communicate with us, using our very limited Spanish. Trees and flowers are beautiful here. Many choices on Free Breakfast menu, and food is very good. "It was the perfect place to spend the night before driving 7 hours South. The shuttle was right there when we arrived. The room was clean with amazing AC and a comfortable bed. The breakfast was great and the staff was helpful. Several rental car companies are on the same property. Very convenient!"

"They just finished painting the pool edge...looks great. This is our 3 year at the Trapp Family Inn. The only thing that was different was it was warmer than usually in San Jose than in previous years. The rooms were definitely warmer, but we were glad we had ceiling fans. Service, Food, and hospitality were great. We'll be BACK!"

"The grounds garden and pool were very beautiful and clean. The restaurant was amazing and included a full bar. They even had a space that allowed the dog to dine with us. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean and water pressure in the shower was great! We would stay again."

"This is the perfect last minute stay before your flight the next morning. It's an older hotel, clean with all the basic amenities. It provided an airport shuttle to the airport which is what was most convenient because we returned our car rental the night before. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. The price was right!"
