Studio fonctionnel, très propre, vue panoramique

Petit appartement E2. RDC, vue sur le fleuve. 1 chambre séparée, bonne literie. Petite salle de bains avec 1 douche, lavabo et toilettes. Très propre avec savons, shampoing, etc. Nous étions au calme, mais on peut imaginer qu'en période touristique cela puisse être bruyant (structure en bois et appartement collé les uns aux autres sans beaucoup d'insonorisation). Nous y reviendrons car très pratique.

Une perle d'hébergement en Charlevoix

Magnifique séjour avec toutes les commodités de base. Nous avons loué 2 appartements communiquant, soit un pour nous et l'autre pour les enfants à un prix très abordable. La décoration est un peu désuète, mais le panorama et la propreté des lieux compense largement. C'était un 2e séjour pour moi et nous reviendrons assurément dans l'avenir.

Excellent basic self-catering accommodation

This is a good option for the budget traveller. Pros: units are clean and well-stocked with basic kitchen gear, the setting is superb (the units are set in park-land in the village of Ste-Irenee, with a relaxed walk down to the beach (water is generally too cold for swimming), some of the units have incredible views over the St Laurence, there is tranquillity because no TV or radio, Domaine Forget has a summer music program of incredible concerts (highly recommend splurging on one of the weekend musical brunches for gourmet food & good music), & the price is excellent for the region. Cons: the units are joined together by enormous wooden decks so there is some pedestrian traffic outside the units & privacy is limited in lower units, the sofa-bed is not comfortable in the sofa position, there is no TV or radio, the units with a sleep loft (4 persons) require that one climbs a high exposed ladder, & the interior paintwork is starting to be old. Overall, this place is great

Just one problem

Everything was perfect, exactly the type of room we were looking for because we wanted to stay in and cook our own meals. The only thing that would need to be improved is the bed. The large-size bed is in fact two twin beds put together. The matresses were so hard, it was like sleeping on wood! We had a good laugh about it, though. I am certainly going to go back there again. If they changed their beds, it would be a definite five stars for me!
