Staff was not very attentive. They acted like we were an inconvenience. The handle of our hotel room door came off in our hand twice before they moved us to a smaller room. They had an event at the hotel the evening that we stayed there with a live band located about 100 ft from our room that played until 12:20am with crowds continuing to disperse until 2am outside our room in the parking area 20 ft from our room. We were travelling so needed sleep & this loud stay should have been disclosed to us beforehand with the option to cancel. When mentioned to the staff the next morning they acted like it was no big deal. Very disappointed. Worst stay while in Italy!

Beautiful setting right on the lake. The room we had the toilet leaked and it had not be cleaned properly as there was pubic hairs .The shower head needed cleaning and descaling we had to clean it to be able to shower and it was not in a good condition and needs repairs. The bed was so uncomfortable . The windows needed cleaning. Thankfully we only stayed one night.

Excellent location
Excellent location, stunning views of the lake, pleasantly peaceful and tranquil compared to the frantic hustle and bustle of central Rome. A great place to stay for a long weekend. A short 15 to 20 minute taxi ride from ciampino or 40 mins from Fumancino.

De ligging is fantastisch, prachtige oleanders en met een stalen trap tussen het riet door naar het meer. Schoon helder zwemwater, stenen bodem. De accomodatie als zodanig is gedateerd maar wel goed onderhouden. De mensen zijn zeer vriendelijk!

This is truly a hidden gem and well appreciated after staying in other locations with many tourists. The dining nearby was excellent. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I would strongly recommend if you have time before or after a flight into Rome vs. staying in the city.

Beautiful place to stay
The owners picked us up and dropped us off at the train station free of charged. The place itself has stunning views of the lake. The house itself has thin walls, so you hear everything, but the grounds are the real selling point. Plus, the three cats that play in the yard are incredibly friendly. Breakfast was excellent and served next to the water.

Quiet and relaxing place with beautiful lake.
The Hotel is old but cozy and peaceful. The staff are very nice. The hotel is set in a quiet place on the lake with beautiful terraces that take advantage of location and views. It’s a magical and beautiful spot! We are couple and we looked for a quiet place to relax and this was perfect for us. We had a great time just relaxing in this hotel.

Wow!!!
We stayed here for two magnificent nights. Fantastic location, right on the lake with private stairs to reach the water. Beautiful view of the lake, romantic garden and very warm hospitality. Definitely a place I would want to come back to.

The Cradle of the Lake
A lovely super rest at this hotel. The owner and his son Giordano and their staff were absolutely fantastic, especially when it was one of the hottest days in Rome at 41c ! Castel Gandolfo and the Lake are a superb destination to the Culla del Lago, (The cradle of the lake)

Wonderful small hotel right on the lake
Wonderful small family hotel. I stayed here once before over 20 years ago and the same family still run the hotel. Lovely garden overlooking the lake. I strongly recommend this hotel for a relaxing vacation. Also the train to Rome is very easy to use.

Overnight stay before airport
Hotel is located on tranquil spot overlooking the lake towards castel gandolfo. Very pleasant and helpful owner. Offered choice of room and very accommodating regarding breakfast as had to leave early for airport. Would stay again if passing through Rome.

Zauberhaftes kleines Hotel in ruhiger Lage!
Wir haben drei Tage in diesem wunderschönen kleinen Hotel verbracht und waren begeistert! Das Personal war unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit und wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Ein entzückendes familiengeführtes Hotel mit Flair und Ambiente!

An oasis for peace and rest
We wanted to have a break after the pace of life in Rome. This hotel was ideal. The staff were outstanding, the setting beautiful, and the ideal place to wind down.

Hidden gem!
Great little hotel right on the lake, rooms were spacious and the garden beautiful. You also have access to the lake for a dip.

Posto incantevole, personale cortese e disponibile, pulizia e servizi non sono da meno. Gentilissimi anche con il mio cagnolino. Far colazione col lago a pochi metri da te è stato davvero indescrivibile. Consigliatissimo.

A real Charmer
What a little charmer at then end of a country like road. The hotel setting by the lake looked fantastic after our drive . The decor was a little tired but It was very comfortable, the room quite large with a lovely view down onto the garden & over the lake. The Manager & staff were extremely helpful & made sure our stay went well. The cooked breakfast the next morning was great. We just had the overnight stay, but would have loved to stay longer & explore the lake and surrounding area. As we were the only guests, the restaurant was not open for dinner , but we were directed just down the road where there is a good selection of places to eat.

Fantastic location and very accomadating staff
We went here for our honeymoon, and the location is amazing. A short walk away there are places to sunbathe and swim, but we didn't bother because the hotel itself had the best view and the most amazing place to swim. The staff were very nice and couldn't do enough for you. I'll miss having breakfast on their patio looking out over the late. The breakfast is simple and high quality - just what we wanted. You can get lunch/dinner at a good price in one of the many restaurants in walking distance. I couldn't recommend this place highly enough. 5 stars all the way.

Great place for a quiet restful time
I really enjoyed staying here for 2 nights. It is a fantastic location and Georgio and his staff were very helpful and welcoming. One of the world's greatest places to have breakfast!

Wonderful Views
The hotel is right on Lago Albano, with stunning views of Castel Gandalfo across the lake. The room we had was cosy and comfortable. The breakfast was pleasant, and hotel staff were very friendly. The hotel grounds in Spring were lovely. You would need a car, though, since the hotel is some distance from the town. Would stay here again when we come back to Castel Gandalfo.

A peaceful interlude so close to Rome
We stayed here on the last night of our European holiday as it was within half an hour of Rome International Airport. It was a wonderful surprise to find that not only was the hotel very comfortable but the location was stunning. Our corner room with balcony (Room No. 1) overlooked the beautiful hotel garden and lake. That evening we had a wide choice of family style restaurants around the lake and the next morning a lovely breakfast which was included in the rate was served in the garden beside the lake.

Calm Hotel with wonderful view of Lago Albano
Very nice and calm hotel with friendly service. The view of the lake from the breakfast terrace is astonishing with wines and flowers in the foreground and Castel Gandolfo in the background. After a 2 hour walk around the lake it felt very nice to take a swim in the lake (There is a staircase from the hotel), and then to relax and with a good book in the shadow of the trees.
