"This was the best hotel we stayed at in Japan. It was brand new and the design was so stylish. A boutique, luxury hotel. The room was amazing - spacious, luxurious and airy with great views over Kyoto to the hills. Such a pleasure to relax in and come back to after our days out in Kyoto. The metro and train station was steps away which made it easy to get around and also to leave for Osaka.
The main street into downtown Kyoto from Gion was also steps away but because the hotel is on a side...
"This property is very close to Kodai-ji, which was very convenient. Also, the host washed, dried, and folded our laundry (a family of 5) while we were out seeing the sites. This was incredibly helpful. Another highlight of our stay was the wonderful welcome tea and tasty breakfast provided during our stay. Although it was a bit more expensive than other options, these benefits were well worth the additional cost."
"Beautiful accommodation with all the extras. In a great location, walking distance to the market & lots of places to eat. We would definitely stay here again. The only drawback was the dryer took along time to dry, but the hotel provided a clothes horse which was handy. "
"The apartment has everything that you need. It's clean e well organised.
There is a wash machine that washes and dries clothes and it doesn't make noise. That helped us a lot in this hot weather.
One observation:: I just missed an iron.

The hotel is stunning & perfectly located in the most historic & traditional part of Kyoto - literally a few steps away from a beautiful temple.
We would definitely recommend the Japanese breakfast option & the team in the restaurant were incredibly attentive and accommodating of my wife’s dietary requirements - nothing was too much trouble.
