"The room look like a building site. Plasterwork cracked paint work flacky. Bathroom there was little room betwheen the toilet and shower.yesterday morning after the toilet l found thè mess coming up the shower drain.l will not be staying there again."

"The property was beautiful, the staff was amazing and the fact that the cafe attached was both delicious and had outdoor seating was absolutely incredible… The only downside to our stay is that there was a huge youth field trip. The kids were probably about 10-13 years old and were terribly loud, running up and down the stairs, screaming and yelling in the hallways and the teachers didn’t do anything about it. "Furniture and fittings very antiquated. Bedding very old and worn, bed linen did not look clean and fresh. Bathroom shower looks as if mould growing around base, not hot water to the basin, towels very worn and ruff. Breakfast very poor, left on landing to help yourself, cereal and fruit only not worth the payment charged. Parking not easy and very limited particularly for the larger car. Expedia stated only one room left that clearly was not the situation. Definitely not value for money."

"La Rosa is one on it's own. It's a unique place to stay. If you're wanting the general grey, black and white decorations then don't go there. It is Victorian in style and they have obviously searched all over to find little artifacts to match the theme of the rooms, each one different. The views over the harbour and wide open sea and over to the Abbey are incredible. The staff are really friendly and will do anything they can to make your stay as comfortable as possible. "Shower was not working. No fridge available, no comb for hair dressing, no laundry facilities, no fan for warm weather. Not recommended"

"Free parking in a smallish off road private parking area opposite. Check in was quick with very friendly and helpful staff. Room was a good size, clean, modern and with all the amenities you need. Breakfast was outstanding! All waitress served off a comprehensive menu in a well laid out dining room with attention to detail. The cooked breakfast was excellent and overall what you would expect from a very high end hotel really. I did not have dinner so cannot comment much on that except it was £30...

"Has the potential to be a nice apartment, but lots of small issues add up, the carpet on the stairs is loose and dangerous, bathroom door doesn't close never mind locking, dishwasher didn't work, apartment door needs a handle as its difficult to close without slamming it. The noise from the boiler is so loud if you flush the toilet in the night it wakes everyone , bathroom tiles are lovely but haven't been cleaned properly since fitting, same with bathroom window, labels left attached to...

"Spa was amazing and so were the gardens. Some of the staff were kind and some others were very unhelpful and acted as though clients were a bother. Very difficult to get a taxi so best to have your own vehicle."
