"Great location and staff and breakfast. Lovely amenities too."

"We needed two double or queen beds for our group. This was difficult to find in Carmel! Happily the Candlelight Inn had this configuration available. The double beds in our large corner room had lovely linens and were very comfortable. Very helpful and pleasant staff. I would happily stay here again."

"Fantastic experience every time I stay here. From the rooms, the staff, the cleanliness of every area of the property, and its prime location. 10 out of 10!"

"Perfect location!"

"Our stay with our two dogs at Carmel River Inn in one of their cottages was amazing. The cottage was very cozy and beautiful, the property was stunning and a lovely place to walk our dogs and the staff were amazing. Looking forward to going back one day."

If you have mobility concerns, I recommend contacting the hotel in advance to confirm whether a room is available that does not...

"Two of us booked through Expedia and both received rooms at the absolute farthest from elevator. Exceedingly long walk (300 steps) and no warning. Also upcharged us on parking (we thought it was free)."

"Very disappointing to not have the pool nor hot tub available for our stay. Even more disappointing to not have been notified ahead of time. Front desk staff said it failed the last city inspection and now had to be resurfaced. The family townhome was a very lovely layout and a comfortable stay. Continental breakfast was very limited but does its job of providing some food before you start your day. "Everything was fine."
