"It’s just as advertised and the room was in great shape when I got there. The views from the balcony and roof were amazing. There’s really nice people running affordable food carts right outside the neighboring restaurants. The nosiness I experienced was almost unbearable and pretty weird at times when you think about how inconsiderate you’d have to be to leave such an impression. Lovely, kind hearted staff. "I highly recommend the Carlton hotel. The location itself is fantastic, many great restaurants, lots of great bars and a first-class shopping centre two minutes by foot from the hotel. The hotel is excellent, very clean and well maintained. The staff are amazing - extremely helpful, polite and genuinely friendly. The rooms are 10 out of 10 - immaculately presented and in immaculate condition. The pool is a great area to relax and well hidden from the traffic. The gym is more than adequate for a morning or afternoon workout in an airconditioned environment. The breakfast selection is "fit for a king" not to be missed. Finally, the view from the roof top bar says it all and the cocktails/mocktails "sensational at realistic prices". A fantastic place to spend three nights or more."

"This was a decent/good stay especiallyfor the cost. The hotel room was a duplex style so it was upstairs and downstairs. The room came with an umbrella which was good because of the rain. The room was about a 8/10 on cleanliness and that was primarily the kitchen and bathroom area I had to wipe down though it got better over the next few days with housekeeping and it could just be my personal preference. The store downstairs was convenient as well as the restaurants connected to the hotel. Overall it was not hard getting a grab from this location, I didn't get to check out the sauna and rooftop, but the fitness center did the job to get a nice sweat in on the treadmill and a few weights."

"Everything was good, and I really enjoyed my stay. The location is not right in the city centre, so you do need to take a taxi or a bus to get there. My only suggestion for improvement is the breakfast, as it was a bit boring. It would be much more exciting to have dim sum and a wider variety of cakes in the morning! Also, it would be great if coffee capsules were provided in the room automatically without guests having to ask. I didn't ask for any for the first 8 days because I was using my own coffee, and I only realised later on that they were available. Additionally, I stayed in a connecting room and think the hotel should provide an extra proper chair for each room, instead of just a big stool, so guests can sit down comfortably. In the bathroom, it would be good to provide hand soap, as I had to use the shower gel to wash my hands. On the positive side, the toilet flush was powerful, the shower pressure was strong, and the room was very clean. Whenever we asked the maids to clean up, they did a fantastic job!"

"Straight off the plane, this is my first stop. Put my bags down, take the load off my feet and get ready for the rest of my travels. Staff are friendly and very helpful. You can always talk to front desk staff, if you have any issues. Nice quiet area, very peaceful at night. The perfect stay, before you hit the road."
