The room was small but perfectly comfortable and had great amenities, including soft lighting (not just big overhead lights), soap, shampoo etc, a functioning kitchenette, tea and coffee, and a comfy bed. Bonus that the TV also connected to YouTube, Netflix etc. Easy to get to from the train station and a short walk to the main square. "Only one issue. When booking on hotels.com it said check was at 15:00 and checkout was at 12:00. When I received information from the hotel on the day of arrival, just few hours before check in, I was now informed check in was at 16:00 and checkout the following day at 10:00. Luckily we had planned to leave at 09:00 but can be an issue to some. "

"The reception staff were extra-ordinary. Their friendliness, helpful attitude, and customer centered focus made this a delightful experience. One of the above staff members, Yadlia, really made this the Best of the Best stays in Katowice. Since I had a gate controlled outside parking space, she would open and close the gate when my car was at the gate. What service! The whole staff including the restaurant, housekeeping, and grounds employees were the most important part of making this hotel a wonderful stay."

"We booked five rooms for eight nights at Hotel Szafran for our group of ten. We were very pleased with the rooms - plenty of space and quite comfortable and clean. Although there wasn't a/c in our rooms, the standing fans helped a lot. The breakfast was fantastic and the staff were kind and helpful. The location was perfect as there was a shopping center next door, and we could easily find supplies for our service project. Every member of our group commented that the hotel was simply perfect for us. We will definitely plan to stay at Hotel Szafran the next time we are in the area. "
