"Some areas not open. Renovations near 1 pool was a bit annoying. Mandatory long pants for men in restaurants should not be. Pools to crowded with people staying in pools for hours and hours and not getting g out to use wash rooms. Water not sanitary caused me to get a rash on day 4. Very quiet resort, with not so good beach area. All food, drinks and rooms were good."

"We have been frequent guests over the past 20 years! Truly a vacation every visit! Staff is top notch!! From the very caring and attentive bellman, extremely welcoming every time, We have brought our families and our staff several times over the years!! We are always welcomed with a sweet and genuine "Welcome Home" from Abraham and all of the up front staff!! Javi took great care of us each and every evening at the indoor bar and has a great sense of humor!! We hit on some pretty rainy days and the port was closed, which kept us from diving....but the Palace didn't miss a beat and kept us happy and well taken cared of at every turn! Our room was exceptionally clean and the food was great as usual!! We loved the food at all restaurants, love the handmade tortillas and pork pastor in the Mexican restaurant and the very accommodating, very good Asian restaurant, our favorite is the food and atmosphere of Flamingos and the entertainment is always fun. Loved the guitar musicians/singing couple who were there two nights, exceptional! We had room service twice, always exceptional!"

"Overall, we had a good stay at Catalonia Playa Maroma. The beach was really beautiful, and the drinks were great. The food was good, although the selection could have been a little better. Service was sometimes slow, but overall, the staff were friendly. The biggest issue that definitely needs attention is the flies around the food. They were everywhere, including inside the buffet, constantly landing on the food. This was unpleasant and raised concerns about food hygiene. The resort really needs to address this issue to improve the dining experience for guests."

"Everything about this resort exceeded my expectations! I absolutely loved our stay and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The entire staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Everything was spotless, well-maintained, and so convenient. We absolutely loved the pools and the multiple swim-up bars. The pools were always clean, and the drinks were amazing! The food completely blew me away. Hands down some of the best food I’ve ever had at an all-inclusive resort, and I’ve been to several! The coffee shop was another huge plus and something we really enjoyed throughout our stay. The churro cart was amazing, and we loved seeing all the wildlife and little critters around the property. It really added something special to the experience! I genuinely can’t say enough good things about this place. From the food and drinks to the atmosphere, cleanliness, and incredible staff, everything was amazing. This resort truly went above and beyond, and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone. We will definitely be returning!"

"This is a smaller, older property. Week maintained and nice. The location was good. Diving and beach across the street. A short walk to town. The free bikes were a definite plus. The staff made this place great. Every person we came into contact with was friendly and helpful. From the front desk to the pool staff, waiters and maids. Pedro is the best bartender I have had in my many trips to Mexico."
