Le service reste à désiré nous avons l’impression de déranger a la moindre demande alors que nous sommes clients et payons notre commande matin midi et soir au restaurant Logement médiocre et sale à plusieurs reprise nous avons dû leur demandé de réelles SERVIETTES SANS TACHES !! A éviter !!!!

Alles etwas älter und nicht im besten Zustand, dennoch empfehle ich diese Unterkunft. Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend. Das Zimmer ist zwar etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber Tierfrei, warmes Wasser und die Klima war super. Die Lage ist perfekt. Ein paar gehminuten zum Turtle Point, hier haben wir tatsächlich eine Schildkröte gesehen. Dieser befindet sich am Strand vor dem Perhentian Island Resort. Der Turtle Point ist auf Google Maps falsch eingezeichnet!! Allein dass man diesen Strand so gut erreicht ist für mich ein Grund diese Unterkunft zu buchen. Bei anderen Unterkünften weiter unten muss man hierher teilweise durch den Dschungel laufen. Das Essen war uns im Barat zu teuer, hier kann ich das Belinda Cafe empfehlen.

Non abbiamo soggiornato in quanto all'arrivo siamo stati investiti da un persistente odore di fognatura, lo chalet standard vista giardino si è rivelata un camera minuscola, non si sapeva nemmeno dove aprire la valigia, scarsa pulizia con per terra un tampax (fortunatamente nuovo), incastrata tra altre due. In pratica tre camere che condividevano un piccolo patio per di più sporco. Il bagno non merita menzione. Abbiamo chiesto di avere una camera più decente ma erano al completo. Abbiamo deciso di cercare altro. Non ci hanno riconosciuto nessun rimborso.

The room on the ground floor had a damp smell, I found a big spider and a cockroach, but in the tropics it's normal.. the towels were clean but they didn't dry. The once beautiful structure is in a bit of decay, even if we were customers when we ate both taxes and service were applied to the bill ... The reception staff was not always friendly, when you asked for something it seemed they were doing you a favor. I wouldn't go back and I don't recommend it

The Barat is in a lovely position on the beach and has lots of large shady trees which make it very beautiful. The older accommodation at the back needs some repairs. Still a lovely place.

Très reposant
L’hôtel n’a pas de plage directe mais vous pouvez accéder à la plage parfaite du PIR à côté. Très bon restaurant rapide et varié. Le personnel est très serviable et accueillant.

From the beginning nobody showed up at the pier to help us with the big suitcases and stuff after a long flight / taxi and jetty. The room was tiny / dark and humid plus it was not possible to open the windows . In The bathroom same situation : it didn’t have any window and the shower was without any tent so when you shower you get wet everything around. Another problem was the electricity and the telephone signal that went done every tot hour , so without electricity every six hours in the middle of the night you wake up sweating and feeling uncomfortable . In addition Prices of the bar were high and expensive even if compared to the other luxury hotels that sell sodas for less money … Employees at the request are not so helpful and understanding… So for all these reasons not suggested at all .

Diese Unterkunft ist eine Frechheit! !! Wir hatten für 2 Person 6 Nächte mit Seafront gebucht. Die Seafront bestand aus einem Ausblick auf alte Plastikliegestühle, mit Lage neben Toiletten des Nachbarresorts und Müllsäcken, die sich von Tag zu Tag direkt neben unserem Apartment gestapelt haben. Der Zustand des Apartments innen war nicht besser: schmutzig und offensichtlich nicht oder wenig geputzt, Reste von Duschgel an den Wänden, Löcher in der Decke und in der Wand hinter dem Bett, Löcher in den Moskitonetzen, Sand und sonstiger Dreck auf den Bettlaken. Nachdem wir den groben Schmutz selber entfernt und die Moskitonetze und Wandlöcher (über die wohl die Kakerlake hineingekommen ist) notdürftig zugeklebt hatten, konnte man sich einigermaßen einrichten. Während unseres Aufenthaltes hatten wir 2 Dauergäste in Form von Geckos, zudem Kakerlaken und eine Ameisenstraße. Das Housekeeping hat auf unser Anfragen hin die Kakerlake entsorgt und uns gleich einen Insektenspray im Zimmer gelassen. Ein Handtuch pro Person pro Aufenthalt (haben mehrmals nach neuen gefragt und immerhin auch welche bekommen) und keine tägliche Zimmerreinigung. Lediglich standen jeden Abend 2 kleine Waserflaschen und eine Klopapierrolle vor der Tür (am Ende unseres Aufenthalts hatten wir einen Stapel von 6 Klopapierrollen). Das Personal war überwiegend freundlich und der Service im Restaurant auch in Ordnung. Dennoch rate ich von einer Buchung in diesem Resort dringend ab!

Cleanliness issue after long closure; poor wifi
Beautiful seafronting setting. Dedicated pontoon jetty for easy arrival. Granted early checkin which was nice. Wifi was terrible and barely useable. Main issue: cleanliness. There were dead bugs and roaches in the bathroom which could have easily been hosed away before handing over the room to guests. More importantly, there seemed to be minor bed bugs from the mattress. My partner and I both had uncomfortable bites. We are still nursing the itches currently at home with cream/ointment. Pretty disappointing from an otherwise pleasant stay at The Barat. Hope the management can have a look (our room num was 322).

2泊3日の素泊まりでした。 1日目の15〜22時頃まで水が流れなくて大変でした。 手も洗えないしトイレも流れないし、シャワーはもちろん浴びれない。 でもホテルのレストランは安くておいしかったです！！ お部屋は、綺麗で快適とは言えませんが、、、 ロケーションがバッチリなのでまぁ良しです！

We stayed in the 4 bed dorm room with attached bathroom and toilet, which is really nice to have. The room however, gets quite cramp when there’re 4 bags in it, and there isn’t enough table space for things. Nevertheless, we like the tidy grounds and quality food at the restaurant.

Wir waren 8 Nächte im The Barat und waren allein vom Service begeistert! Nicht nur, dass das Personal des Hotels uns überdurchschnittlich engagiert in einer sehr misslichen Situation geholfen hat - auch im Restaurant und an der Rezeption wurde man stets mit einem breiten Lächeln begrüßt. Die Zimmer waren zudem sauber und gemütlich eingerichtet. Besonders angetan waren wir vom Restaurant. An der BBQ Station konnte man jeden Tag zwischen verschiedenen, fangfrischen Meerestieren wählen. Fantastisch! Besonders abends versprüht das Restaurant einen besonderen Charme. Dass das Hotel über keinen eigenen breiten Strandabschnitt verfügt, macht nichts. Denn so kann man die verschiedenen traumhaften Strände der Insel erkunden (5 min. entfernt liegt das PIR, das über einen tollen Strand verfügt – man kann hier sogar mit Glück Schildkröten erspähen - oder 10 min. entfernt Tuna Bay – ebenfalls ein sehr schöner Strand). Auch bietet das Hotel täglich mind. 2 Schnorchelausflüge an (ca. 3h). Kajaks kann man sich ebenfalls täglich mieten sowie Schnorchelausrüstung. Alles in allem lässt sich sagen, dass sich dieser Ort bestens eignet, um einfach mal die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Besonders, wenn sich der Tag dem Ende zuneigt und man unter dem Blätterdach des The Barats die warmen Strahlen der Abendsonne genießt, bevor man sich im charmanten Restaurant am fangfrischen Fisch erfreut. Immer wieder gerne!

Tolles Resort am Strand
Tolles Resort, mit prima Restaurant, direkt am Strand. Sehr ruhig und zentral zu anderen Stränden und zur anderen Insel. Schön zum Schnorcheln, Schwimmen, Baden oder einfach nur relaxen.

Hôtel passable
Hôtel situé sur l’île de Besar. Une plage accessible à pied (10min), les autres plages sont accessibles en taxi boat (service payant, de 10 à 50RM). Chambre confortable mais sans +, salle de bain fonctionnelle mais mal isolée et peu ventilée. Pas de wifi dans la chambre, uniquement à la réception et au restaurant de l’hôtel. Le restaurant propose des plats délicieux. Le personnel est accueillant, poli et gentil!

L’hotel è composto da diversi cottage dotati di veranda. Ogni stanza è dotata di ventilatore e aria condizionata. Staff giovane e molto disponibile. Alla reception è possibile prendere in prestito i salviettoni per la spiaggia. Per i pasti (dalla colazione alla cena) è possibile appoggiarsi al bar dell’hotel (dove si può pagare con carta di credito) che offre sia piatti locali che internazionali. Per variare un po’, accanto si trova l’ottimo ristorante thai “Belinda”.

trés bon séjour en toute simplicité
trés bon sejour ou le personnel est trés acceuillant et l'ile trés paisible. le restaurant propose une cuisine trés variée a prix raisonnable. les chambres en chalet sont simples et propres. les douches sont version thailandaise c'est à dire avec une simple pomme de douche a coté des wc, ce que je n'avais pas remarqué lors de notre réservation. le lavabo est usé ainsi que les toilettes. le wifi est trés trés médiocre. des activités à la journée sont proposées et sont trés bien pour decouvrir les spots de poissons

Oasis in the sea
The Perhentian islands are an oasis in the sea about a 30 to 45 minute high speed boat ride from Besut off the north east coast of Malaysia. Well worth the effort to get there because it is truly a little paradise. Beautiful sand and seawater that is as blue and green and fresh and salty as you would expect of heaven. It’s not for everyone, those with a wanderlust and experienced travellers will definitely be rewarded. The Barat Resort itself is basic but very functional and well managed.

The Barat @ Perhentian
The dorm room had thin walls, so you can hear the rooms beside you. The shower was just about acceptable. We left our luggage in the locker, however this was not locked and controlled hence anyone can enter at will. However a convenient stay for accessing coral view beach, a very good snorkelling site.
