Such a hidden gem. This place is more than a stay. It's an experience. Things to note are that you have to take a small boat to reach the property so pack light. The nature and beach are beautiful. The rooms are comfortable, clean and the perfect blend of shelter and being one with nature. The restaurant on site is superb with quality organic ingredients that create art on a plate. Staff is friendly, approachable and super helpful. Can't wait to come back.

+Beautifully located property, only accessible by boat. Hiking to the nearby beaches, that were beautiful and deserted, was an incredible experience and the highlight of my trip to Mexico. The staff at the property were so friendly and helpful (shout out to Javi for lifting me on to the boat!), the massage was excellent, and the food and drinks were exceptional. -The only downside is that I felt the price was slightly too expensive for the luxury level of the accommodation, which was very aesthetically decorated but still relatively basic (I guess that's what I should have expected for a beach house!). But overall, the experience was so amazing and unique this would not stop me from recommending Casitas Maraika.

This was a beautiful property with the most beautiful views. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Perfect place to disconnect, relax and enjoy nature. Limited menu options but Great tasting food options. :) I would say this is more for couples/visitors who are very comfortable with one another without modern hotel creature comforts. The outdoor restroom and shower was greatly on theme for this nature focused stay - it includes a large sea shell as a shower head.

If you are looking for a beautiful, romantic and unique place to stay and connect with nature we highly recommend Maraika. We enjoyed waking up to birds and the sound of the ocean. The staff are welcoming and put a lot of love and care into the property and the food/drinks at the restaurant which is worth the price for well sourced, gourmet, memorable meals in an incredible setting. Be aware you must take a boat taxi from Boca de Tomatlan and may have to walk 10 minutes from Las Animas pier if the waves are too big for beach landing. The staff were very helpful with coordinating transportation, massages, and a sunset tour. What’sapp is the easiest method of communication.
