"This was our second time staying at a Shangri-La, and it certainly did not disappoint! We previously stayed at the Shangri-La in Singapore three years ago, and this time we stayed at the Shanghai property. The hotel is beautiful, clean, spacious, and incredibly well located. It is close to the Oriental Pearl Tower and on the quieter side of the Bund, making it a lovely location for exploring the area and enjoying the boat trips along the Bund. After a busy day out, it was always a pleasure to return to the hotel. Our room was lovely and spacious, and the overall atmosphere was very comfortable. The staff were generally friendly, although we felt the service in the Singapore branch was slightly better. That said, the breakfast staff were exceptional. We had specific dietary requirements, and the breakfast team went above and beyond to help us. They personally walked us around to explain the different options, brought in the chef to speak with us, and gave us advice on what would be suitable. They were genuinely so kind and accommodating, which we really appreciated. The hotel was also very kind in allowing us to keep our dietary food in their fridge, as the fridge in our room was more of a cool box than a proper fridge. Overall, we had a wonderful stay. The incredible location, beautiful spacious rooms, and the kindness of the breakfast team made it a pleasure to stay here. We would definitely consider returning to Shangri-La again!"
Shanghai JOYFUL YARD Hotel

"Booked hotel for the night but only stayed 8 hours due to the layover time between flights. Was upgraded to a themed room which was pink princess themed with a teepee in the centre of the room. Would be great for kids. Unusual for adults. The room otherwise seemed no different to the one that had been booked. Was clean and spacious. Beds comfortable, shower was great and shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided. Did not get to try breakfast. Hotel provides a free airport shuttle hourly which was great and only a quick ride from the airport. Lots of restaurants and shops around. Got massages at one of the many spas in the area. Staff spoke minimal English but we managed fine with google translate. Would recommend if needing a place to freshen up between flights. Unsure of what else the area offers as had no time to explore. Wifi and air conditioning satisfactory."

"Definitely a 5/5 hotel! The staff were very helpful in assisting with any questions we had, in helping us get our Didis, and everything we needed. The hotel is extremely clean and well kept as well, in a great location. I would definitely recommend staying here."

"Good overall hotel, a little shabby in the communal areas, corridors carpet not fitting correctly etc but the rooms are very nice and big. We arrived just after a Typhoon so there was a damp smell due to the basement drying out but towards the end of our stay the smell had gone."
Kerry Hotel Pudong Shanghai

"Good location, right on top of the Kerry Center Shopping and restaurants, which is also attached to the metro Line 7. The hotel is situated across the Century Park which was pleasant to bike around in the evening. Room was spacious and clean and overlooks the park and the Lujiazui skyline. Good experience!"
