"We were offered an upgrade to stay on the second floor which is the third floor if you are an American. Beware if you have large suitcases, as there are no elevators. We had to practically empty our suitcase to get the contents up the stairs. There is a washing machine/dryer combo in the community kitchen, but it takes hours to wash and dry your clothes. "Charming hotel in a very good location. The room (old section) was beautiful, with a view of the courtyard and fountain. The walls were thick and good windows prevented noise from the courtyard. Hallway noise was not an issue, due to the bedroom being through an additional door. Comfortable beds, with quality linens. Staff were welcoming and helpful. "Great choice of hotel. It is located in the very center of Avignon where bars and restaurants are. It is a pleasant walk to explore the city and its heritage. Staffs are very nice, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included. We stayed in March. The hotel rate is exceptionally good for what we got. "
