"Very clean, quiet, firm but comfortable mattress - felt really safe with easy room access within a few feet of wide parking space. High water pressure for a good shower. Small micro, fridge with mini freeze shelf but you might want coffee to pick-up from elsewhere. Shopping for most things available within a couple of miles north on same street, even Costco I think was just 4 miles north. I suggest using. I-5 access north of hotel location. Driving in Seattle is a nightmare if you are visiting from a flat part of the country with wide roads be prepared to drive on one-lane roads with 2-way traffic!!! We had 3 days of medical testing at the UWA Hospital Montlake and very happy I chose Best Motel after some other stays in hotels where we could not sleep at all. Our goal at a hotel/motel is to sleep at night... we have a nice home so don't need any fancy "get-away", just a safe, comfortable place to sleep ... if you can"t sleep why spend an extra $200/night for that to stay in an '****' hotel? This will be our home away from home in Seattle... wish every town had one of these!"

"I didn’t have breakfast so can’t rate. Had the happy hour prixe fixe deal which was reasonably price but frankly not that fantastic but they were short staffed due to a very bad traffic accident on the Hood Canal and the pizza I had tasted like one of the frozen types wi5 way too much sauce and gobs of cheese. The soup - tomato - was fine. And the dessert a chocolate fudge type cake was fine. The price was ok. BUT I loved my room. I wouldn’t come here for the food but the room was divine. King bed, huge room, soaker tub with a view of the harbour and a gas fireplace. MY MAJOR complaint was that the signage to the hotel was almost non existent coming from Port Townsend. There is a crucial junction of 101 South just as you head away from the turnoff to P Townsend and I got totally confused and continued south on 101. I saw the very obvious signs for the routes east, the direction I KNEW I should be heading but THOSE signs mentioned Kingston and FERRIES to Seattle amd Bremerton. But because P Ludlow is a tiny place no mention of it. SO TAKE that exit for ferries you drive through clearcuts for what seems like MILES with nothing but constant traffic and when I almost gave up I saw a tiny sign saying Port Ludlow (but before that the only other sign I saw was for Port Gamble which threw me off). Which was good but I was travelling alone and so locating tiny signs on a road with fast traffic is very hard at my age- 74! Next thing I know I am roaring across the Hood Canal!"

"The parking lot was secured (gate) at night with guest access. My room was beyond an additional security door- I felt very safe. Towels replaced daily- trash taken out. Bed was comfortable. I would describe everything as Nice. "

"This was a great place to stay! It was quiet, the staff were friendly and helpful, and, what I liked best was (only understood by people my age) the toilet height was taller, the bed height was shorter and there was only 1 TV remote!"
