"So glad to have discovered this place- off the main roads. The whole experience was great- staff were lovely, dogs were made welcome too! Like stepping into an Agatha Christie movie, beautiful furnishings of an era in history. The grounds were well maintained and we loved the Monet Garden - with deer resting near the pond, all very magical.

"Property is set back away from the road with trees and garden, very quiet , and relaxing . Jean is a lovely lady making us very welcome, plenty of knowledge of the local area. Room was very comfortable, patio tables outside to be able to sit and chill. We had a lovely breakfast in the granary chatting to Jean a lovely friendly lady. Would recommend ."
"Vieil immeuble, mais les chambres ont été rénovées. Elles sont compactes, mais toutes les commodités y sont. Il n’y a pas d’ascenseur, alors pour un séjour d’une nuit, il faut prévoir un bagage à mains contenant tout ce qui est essentiel, surtout si notre chambre est au 4e étage. Le personnel est avenant et nous avons très bien mangé au resto (dîner et petit-déjeuner). "
"The place was great to spend time in and relax. Walking in the new forest is just across the road. Great to just be able to switch off for a while.
The staff were all nice. The food was nice. Room was clean and well equiped.

Beautiful home, be ready to walk up 3 1/2 floors if room is on top floor…. No lyft. Not a problem for a 17th century hm, just realize that-
Would recommend a bathtub safety bar in rm 310#. Very sm tub, but nothing to help pull to get out of it!

"This is a great place to stay. The rooms were motel style so open the door straight outside which was perfect as we had our 5month puppy with us. Dog friendly too, could take her into the pub. On arrival, in our room was a dog bed, two dog bowls, dog towel and a doggy welcome pack - great touch. Our room was comfy and had everything we needed. "Really nice and quaint hotel. Conveniently located near shopping centre, restaurants and motorway. Spa facilities were good. Room sizes are great but slightly dated and could be better maintained. Thought out room facilities and amenities really well! Staff were fantastic - really friendly and helpful!"
"The hotel is located in the beautiful town of Romsey, which is very clean with plenty to see, good shopping and good restaurants.
Although there is no elevator in the hotel, staff were available to carry up the luggage. The staff were very pleasant and eager to help and assist."
