"We absolutely loved this hotel. It’s in a great location, tucked away down a small side street in the Gothic quarter. Staff were fantastic, small gestures like the free mini bar, popcorn dropped off at your room in the afternoon and welcome drink at check were all such lovely gestures. Very comfortable rooms and quiet. The hotel is trendy and has no photos rule which is superb. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant and it was excellent. We will definitely return. "

"Breakfast was everything you require to set you up for the day. You name it and it was there. Cooked omelettes, along with any other egg dishes were expertly prepared and cooked. Staff were cheerful and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Our room on the 6th floor was spotless and prepared with care. Everything was in its place and restocked daily. It was a pleasure to stay and be treated with dignity. Cannot praise high enough."

"Nice hotel with super friendly staff. We need to stay two extra days at the hotel due to flight cancellation. The hotel went out of its way to make us feel comfortable. They suggested new places to visit, got cabs for us and provided us with extra water for our day trip. The location is perfect for visitors to walk around the center of the town. "My wife and I were extremely pleased with our recent stay at the Catalonia Magdalenes Hotel. Our room had a King size bed with a balcony and a view of the street below. The room was clean, and housekeeping did a great job of ensuring we had what we needed. The Hotel is centrally located within Barcelona's Gothic quarter. "Kamer was schoon en werd dagelijks schoongemaakt. Personeel uitermate vriendelijk, bij elke binnenkomst begroet en het (gratis!) boeken van een taxi was geen enkel probleem. Ondanks dat het hotel in de drukke oude wijk ligt s’nachts geen enkele overlast ondervonden door geluid. Perfecte locatie voor een stedentrip naar Barcelona! "

"Recently renovated Ample size room. Very friendly and helpful staff. Our only criticism was that the tea and coffee provided in the room was not refilled every day. We had to continually ask for supplies at reception. Apparently it was the hotel policy to only supply on arrival. Not reallgood enough for a 4* hotel"
