"It is not a 5 star hotel but it is kept clean and well maintained accept for the TV programming does not function properly and others we talked to had the same TV malfunction going on so if I had to guess I would say it was the entire hotel was without TV throughout our stay. They were renovating some of the rooms and the construction on that was kept tidy."

"We had such a wonderful stay at Grand Smokies Resort Lodge! The hotel was clean, comfortable, and the staff was very friendly. One of our favorite parts was definitely the indoor pool — it was perfect for relaxing and family fun. The atmosphere was cozy, and everything made our trip feel easy and enjoyable. We had no issues during our stay and would absolutely stay here again!"

"24 hour pool and hot tub, free slushies in the lobby and beautiful landscaping. Live entertainment in the evenings as well as free smores making by a firepit. Room was very clean. Free pancakes at the restaurant across the street and reduced prices if you wanted to add anything. The only negative I have is I wish the room had curtains instead of blinds to keep it darker. Other then that it was perfect"

"VERY disappointed with this hotel. Check-in was fine at the desk, but the hotel is generally in really bad disrepair. Wallpaper peeling everywhere in the halls, almost every room door we walked by was dented, like they had been hit with something. Paint scuffed and chipped off most every door facing. Only one working elevator for the whole hotel. Our room was very run down - stained carpet, holes in the fiberglass shower that had never been fixed. The shower curtain was torn. One overhead light in the room that was very dim and only one working light by the beds. The beds themselves were clean, we checked them THOROUGHLY, but they were very uncomfortable and lumpy. Our balcony room looked out on a pool that was drained and littered with trash. We didn’t not go to the lazy river, nor did we eat the continental breakfast. We will NEVER stay at this hotel again and will never recommend it. I would give this hotel a Zero if I could. DO NOT STAY HERE. "

"This is my 3rd stay in a row at the Compass. That’s how great it is! The prices are so reasonable for what you get which is excellent service , wonderful, spacey and clean rooms and I could go on and on. The pools are beautiful with many different choices for adults and kids. The lazy river, dipping pool for adults, splash fun for kids and can’t forget about the hot tub and indoor pools. What more could you ask for? Ask for Neidra when you check in. She’s terrific! All the service employees are super helpful and friendly. This is my go to hotel now that I’ve found it. You won’t be disappointed."

"Very dated property, staff at check in was very nice. Our door stuck and i had to throw my shlouder into it to open the door everytime. Bathrooms could use a renovation and mattresses were so wore out, everytime someones rolled over you could hear the springs squeeking. Being right in the road you could hear traffic all night. "
