It was such a lovely place, very well located, the staff was absolutely amazing and friendly, they helped us storing our bags until the evening before our night trip to Bangkok, the coffee is delicious!!!
I only stayed one night. The room had everything I needed and was reasonably priced. Unfortunately, it was difficult to communicate with the hotel. I sent a message through the app about an issue and never got a response. You have to go through a coffee shop to get to the hotel and it was unclear if the staff worked for the hotel or the coffee shop. Also, my room overlooked a bar and the music was very loud until about 1:00 a.m. I had to use a white noise app and ear plugs to sleep.
The guesthouse was easy to find and there were a lot of shops/ restaurants nearby. Staff at the reception even helped to get our tickets printed. Nothing bad to say actually as we really enjoyed our stay. The location is quite far from all the major attractions like Patong Beach and the nightlife is quite slow. If that's no problem for you, then this place is perfect. Overall, would really recommend this place. Definitely coming back here if we return to Phuket.
Extremely cute hotel. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating staff. They helped us set up easy and affordable taxis to different tourist destinations! In the most picturesque part of Phuket! Many shops and restaurants right out the front door of the hotel!
I needed to stay in Old Town overnight. It is an interesting area with lots of new restaurants, bars and guesthouses opening up. The second floor room was nice, clean and comfortable. However, the noise from motorcycles racing by under our window all night made it impossible to sleep for more than 10-15 minutes. Maybe if you stay on the thirds floor with a room in the back the noise level would be better.
Great location, perfect place for 1 or two nights stay. Very good restaurant almost opposite (Kopitian or something like that, highly recommended!!). The traffic is quite noisy for all night so earplugs needed for light sleepers. Clean and simple everything!
Given the good reviews and the seemingly-hip neighborhood, I booked the Romannee Classic for a few nights. The room was relatively basic but nice enough, and the staff was friendly and eager to help. I was pleased enough with the first impression... until nightfall.
All through the night, there are motorbikes *ripping* down the street, I mean just throttle cranked, middle finger (assumedly) waving at all the buildings they pass. I guess the Romannee is a restored old building so noise insulation wasn't a priority; it even has double paned windows, but that didn't do much of anything to dampen the sound, and I was awoken all night by the passing vehicles. I can't exactly blame the hotel for this, but it did make for a rather unpleasant stay.
Other than that, everything was fine. But the lack of proper sound insulation makes me wish I had stayed elsewhere.
