Though Koh Samet is not an untouched island paradise, it is a Thailand National Park. The upper part of the island is good for beach combing and there's a great little beach with a pier for swimming outside the park which means no entry fees. There are plenty of seafood options as well as some good western food options on the island if you are so inclined.
