Bit of a rocky start as when we arrived at the property it was deserted. No guests, no staff, Christmas decorations still up in mid February. After 30 minutes of waiting around a staff member arrived and seemed confused that we had a booking. They put us in a room that we didn’t book. We booked the big bus but we were given a regular room. We didn’t protest as the lady didn’t speak English.
The hotel redeemed themselves with their kindness and thoughtfulness over the next few days. They gave us breakfast every morning even though this was not included in our booking. They even took us to their sister resort Rachawadee moonlight for breakfast- which is a lovely property. The staff also provided us with transport to the pier with our bags for no charge.
We chose this property so we could interact with the local culture. We did not want a five star resort that separates you from your surroundings. This place was clean and simple and in a great location. We had a lovely time on this beautiful island.
There was no real "check in" no front desk or reception we just showed up very little English on the island in general. A woman met us asked if we had a reservation we said yes she gave us a room. Really lax. Bed was huge but hard. Really spacious a fun colours with a personal patio that was great for sitting out at night and having some changs whole island and specifically this place is more geared to Thai locals visiting but overall good stay
Room was large and so was the bed but also hard. Aircon was directly above the bed which I don't like should be other side of room. This place is more for thais than foreigners. Service could have been better, did not know anything about our booking. No toiletries are supplied unlike everywhere else I have stayed in Thailand. Its very quiet in the week but packed out Saturdays. We only stayed Thursday and Friday as full Saturday. Breakfast could be better and no choice, no coffee or tea.
