"The room was clean and comfortable. No elevator, Breakfast was good. Didn't need to use the A/C as the nights were cool, opened window but saw that it did have an A/C. Was a bit out of the way because we initially were looking to stay in Catania but this was much better as it was quiet and only 5 minutes away from the center of Zafferana Etnea. Staff was very nice."

"This was, without a doubt, one of the best hotel stays I’ve ever had. Tucked away at the foot of Etna, the views are absolutely beautiful - both of the coast and the volcano - and the whole place felt so peaceful. The hotel itself is gorgeous, but it’s the little details that make it so special - it has a real Sicilian charm about it and is very picturesque. My room was spacious and spotlessly clean and beautifully kept, with a wonderful shower and a super comfy bed. What really made the stay special was Sara and her family. I have genuinely never felt so welcomed at a hotel. We were made to feel less like guests and more like friends who had come to stay - such a warm and polite host who went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable and happy. Sara’s mother also makes the most wonderful homemade cakes and jams to complement breakfast, eating these, sitting outside on the sunny patio... amazing! We were genuinely sad to leave. In fact, this is somewhere I know I'll return to again and again. If you’re visiting Sicily and looking for somewhere peaceful, beautiful and genuinely special, I couldn’t recommend this hotel more highly!"

"We only had two nights at Puleera, but that time turned out to be a highlight of our vacation. The breakfast terrace has a view of Etna, which was erupting, so we enjoyed that vista during the day and night. The pool also has views of Etna. The room was an amazing suite with beautiful antique furnishings and a sitting room. The bed was super-comfortable and they provided plenty of pillows without us having to even ask for more. The breakfast each morning was phenomenal! The standard is high from the places we stayed, but so many home-made dishes just stood out, and the morning staff could not have been nicer. Lori stood out from that staff and Poula, our hostess, was also a joy to interact with. The sunset dinner beneath the magnolia is also not to be missed. Surrounded by vineyards, Puleera gave us a sense of remoteness from the nearby bustling towns. In a word - enchanting!"

Staff go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. The king classic room we booked was much smaller than we’d expected so hotel kindly relocated us to a superior panoramic room which was lovely. All in all this was an oasis to end our two weeks touring Sicily. Loved it."
