"Our room was dirty. Had I’m assuming dry red paint hoping it’s not red blood. On the curtains and outside on the terrace. Would definitely look into another spot that cleans their rooms. Great area but not worth it if it’s dirty."

The hotel was in the process of making lots of updates and renovations, which is good. Surprisingly, it was not at all disruptive. Future guests will enjoy a very clean, updated, modern, budget friendly hotel. Beautiful park right across the street. Lots of restaurants and shopping within walking distance. We felt safe and happy at Hotel Portobelo."
