"I gave this hotel a weak rating not because there was anything wrong with the hotel rather, It was my dining experience that was so horrible!!!! What the restaurant really needs is some competition with other dining options nearby. They are the only restaurant available which is apparent by the poor quality of food, high prices and really inefficient service. The servers were all very nice but they clearly need a lot more training. A very disappointing dining experience with a high price tag...

"I really enjoyed my stay at the Strathaven Hotel. Staff were wonderful and helpful (probably the best at any hotel I have stayed at). The room was clean and well appointed. The bed was comfortable (I slept soundly!). The breakfast was included and there’s nothing like a Scottish breakfast! I will definitely return!! Well worth it!"

"Staff were exceedingly helpful and friendly. Room was spacious and clean (a small bar fridge would have been nice). Good location for local and inter-city trains - Glasgow less than 20 mins away. Plenty of bars and restaurants nearby."

"We have stayed here before and it is a good practical option for us when we visit family. It is clean modern and nice and warm. We have stayed twice before in different rooms, both of which were bigger than the one we had this time. It would really have been more suitable for a single guest. That being said, we did manage ok for 2 nights. We did notice the noise from other guests a bit more this time than we did before. The location is ideal as there are shops, bars and decent restaurants...
