"Stayed here for a 1 night stay. What a lovely, well kept historic building. Checkin was quick, easy and very helpful staff. Parking was £6 for 24hrs, which we think is great value considering recent price increases. The room was for a family of four, and fully equipped. Nothing missing, clean and air con was needed and was working a treat. We had the breakfast, and there wasn't a thing NOT on the menu. We will definitely stay here again for when we next visit Sheffield. Close to the City, and...

"Lovely room, helpful staff and super breakfast. Easy parking too. Only minor gripe was that the window didn't stay open and we had to prop it open with a toilet roll. The was a bit of an issue as the weather was unseasonable warm and there is no AC in the room. However, the staff did say this was already noted and action was being taken. This was our second stay at the hotel and we would certainly visit again."

"The staff were very welcoming and helpful. I was offered tea brought to my room on arrival. The bar was closed for one night of my stay, but I was advised the day beforehand. That wasn’t an issue at all. The location was great. Lovely local areas. Plenty of cafes and restaurants and walks nearby. Bus stop direct to the station right outside the hotel a real bonus! "A wonderful old steel baron's residence. There were halls of residence next door but I slept fine. A wonderful freshly cooked breakfast with quality ingredients."

"The staff were particularly helpful. They were out of welcome cookies but told us to make sure to call back for them. Our request for a quieter room was accommodated. The room was immaculate, roomy and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom had both bath and shower. Faultless."

"I have stayed at the Peacock a few times now as the location is stunning and the rooms never fail to disappoint. They are clean and the bathrooms always have the wow factor. The food in the restaurant is also great, the only downside was the service, we didn’t get our wine for over half an hour and had to ask three times for it from different staff. However I will be back again! "
