"Had stayed this hotel during my two visited to My Fuji. Friendly staff and clean room. The room with the view of Mt Fuji was magnificent. The room is big enough to sleep 3 people. Varieties of food to choose for breakfast that comes with a view of Mt Fuji as you enjoyed your meal. Free shutter bus to Kawaguchiko which made our trips easier. Onsen was great but had to walk quite a distance. Will recommend this hotel."
"The room was clean and comfortable. It was nice having the pyjamas already in the room for our use. The instructions for the Onsen were very well done and if you forgot they were also posted. The staff were helpful and friendly. We had both breakfast and dinner at the hotel and there was a variety of food. We would recommend to anyone travelling to Mt Fuji"
"We stayed at Hotel My.Fuji for one night and had a pleasant overall experience, but it comes with a few important caveats.
What worked well:
The value for the price is strong, especially given the incredible views of Mt. Fuji. Waking up to that alone made the stay feel special. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed. Breakfast is on the pricier side, but the selection is generous and worth it if you plan to stay on-site. The staff were also genuinely warm and helpful throughout.
What to be aware of:
The hotel itself feels quite dated, and the bathroom in particular could use a refresh as it felt a bit worn and not as clean as expected. The biggest drawback, though, is the shuttle service. There’s no clear timetable available online, the schedule is limited, and you must reserve in advance. This made it difficult to plan our departure, especially when we wanted to leave early for a bus to Kyoto but couldn’t because the first shuttle wasn’t until around 8:45 AM.
Overall:
With some updates and a more flexible, clearly communicated shuttle schedule, this could be a great stay. As it stands, it’s best suited for those planning to relax at the hotel rather than come and go frequently."
"Had a great 1 night stay with the wife and 2 teenagers in a Premier Deluxe Japanese Western room. Booked this as the one expensive special treat night for this trip. Room was clean, in excellent condition, very spacious and looked just like the photos on the website. The room having its own outdoor private onsen bath was fabulous. Dinner was excellent with every course looking and tasting amazing. Breakfast was also good with lots of options for the buffet. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Just what I was hoping our stay would be like."
"We had a wonderful two-night stay at Hakone Yutowa.
The location is excellent, just a few minutes’ walk from the Hakone-Gora station. The hotel offers a calm, pleasant atmosphere with beautiful greenery and trees throughout the grounds. While communication in English was occasionally a challenge, the staff remained incredibly friendly and professional. We thoroughly enjoyed both the public and private onsens. Our room was spacious, spotless, and well-equipped. The complimentary snacks and beverages were also a fantastic perk that added extra value to our stay, along with the restaurant onsite."
"Unbelievably amazing hotel. Among the best food I've ever eaten, anywhere in the world. Beautiful property. Professional courteous staff. Extraordinary experience. "
"Great view and spacious room. It was the biggest room of our trip though the fuji room is outdated compared to the one with a private bath and mountain view. Bath tube is small for bigger Americans but public baths are nice and makes up for it. "
