"Upon arrival at check-in, several employees were standing at the desk and simply stared at us without offering any assistance. After finally getting checked into our room, we walked in to find it completely unacceptable. The bed was taken apart, and the mattress and box spring were leaning against the wall. The room clearly had not been prepared for guests.
When I called the front desk for help, the employee was extremely rude and told me I could not stay in that room and would have to come all the way back downstairs to be assigned another room. This was incredibly inconvenient because it was my daughter’s birthday, and we only had one hour to get ready. I ended up spending most of that time moving all of our belongings back and forth between rooms instead of enjoying the occasion.
To make matters worse, the pools were shut down due to a storm that was reportedly 32 miles away, despite there being no bad weather in the area at all. When I asked about it, the front desk employee provided no real explanation and displayed very poor customer service skills.
Overall, this was a frustrating and disappointing experience, especially on what was supposed to be a special day for my daughter."
