Nice and cozy hotel in Ollantaytambo. The owners are extremely helpful and nice. Well located, close to restaurants, shops and the central square of Ollantaytambo. Recommended!

Good for travelers speaking Spanish
The host staffs are very kind and rooms clean. But they speak little English and therefore sometimes didn't understand us. They called a taxi for us but the driver misunderstood our route. We had to rethink the day plan and pay to him more than the the price told at this hostel. Maybe good for Spanish speaking backpackers.
Great location only a couple short blocks from the square. Within walking distance to ruins, restaurants, and the train station. The owners are friendly, attentive, and helpful and cook breakfast to order.
On a quiet, walkable street. (The old part of Ollantaytambo has only pedestrian streets, and is the most charming part to stay in. About 2 1/2 blocks from the main square, where taxis and transport are. A taxi driver or the host can help carry luggage, if needed.)
The owner and his wife were great, but have limited English. Enough to transact your stay. Arranged a walking tour for us on short notice. Let us go up on their roof to see the amazing stars at night. Lovely breakfasts. Clean and very quiet. Highly recommended.
A little hard to find at first but walking distance to everything. In the original part of town with the history that goes with that, thanks for having us.
Great find in a great city. This hostal feels more like a bed and breakfast. The breakfast was made to order, hot and delicious. The rooms were spacious. The owner even carried our bags down the cobbled street to our arranged taxi. Views from the rooftop of the nearby ruins. Highly recommend!
Agradable. Estuvimos 1 noche con mi familia. Al dia siguiente buen desayuno y nos permitieron guardar nuestras cosas al retirarnos ya que ibamos a machu picchu con retorno al dia siguiente.
Amazing little place. They help you carry your bags the block and a half to the hotel. A single couple does everything and with great care and attention. Very friendly. They packed a breakfast bag for us since we were going to Machu Picchu at 5:30 am. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Situated just two blocks from village plaza. In a very well kept stone building. A very quite area yet close to all amenities and ruins. I had an extremely pleasant stay. The staff are extremely helpful!
An absolutely lovely hotel! I didn't know what to expect when I booked but I was so pleasantly surprised. A very clean room and bathroom with a very comfortable bed. A lovely breakfast provided in the morning and even a take away breakfast provided for us when we took an early train to Aguas Calientes. I would highly recommend this hotel!
Great location on a quiet alley just a short couple of blocks from the Plaza. The only problem was that the rooms themselves are not well insulated for sound, so could hear people in the hallway Lobby and in other rooms.
The best part of the Hostal Chayana Wasi experience was Javier, our host. He was very friendly and he went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable. He provided a room heater to take off the chill. He provided complementary bottled water in the room and he put out hot water and tea. He spoke enough English to make up for our poor Spanish and he held some extra luggage for us during our trip to Machu Picchu.
The room itself was simple and clean. Comfortable bedding and a nicely finished ensuite bathroom. Very good value for the price we paid. Wifi was strong in the room (though the Internet connection to Ollantaytambo itself goes down from time to time so be prepared for outages). Breakfast was really nice: fresh juice, bread, eggs, coffee, tea.
Highly recommend Javier and Hostal Chayana Wasi.
