"This is a safe, cost-friendly option for the Upper West Side. We took the Park and Ride from Secaucus to Penn Station and then the 1 train to 96th Street to come out near the entrance. Really easy. This is a no-frills kind of place. The room was clean, as was the bathroom. Fixtures looked like they were straight out of the Ikea catalog. TV worked fine. We were not in NYC to spend much time at the hotel. Central Park is a hop, skip, and a jump away. Plenty of places to eat and grab a slice. We felt safe the whole time we were there. Parking is off site and getting the rate requires you to check in with the staff at the hotel first (we decided on the park and ride into the city, anyway, so it was a moot point for us). Advertised as 3:00 check-in, but we got there after about noon. Our room was not ready, but they did take our bags. We went out and grabbed lunch nearby, came back and we were in our room before 1:00. We wanted to see the Guggenheim and the Met and they were just opposite us on the other side of Central Park. Enjoyed the walk. Would definitely stay there again. "

"Our stay was awesome! It’s in a great location and felt very safe. Our only problem was the sliding bathroom door that wouldn’t stay closed. I’m sure this isn’t a problem in just our room. They really need to fix the doors as the room is already so small so that’s privacy that is much needed. "

"This hotel is under renovation. Elevators are extremely slow as only one elevator is operational during peak hours...Morning through about 5pm. No breakfast area or business center available during renovations"

"Great property. Only issue was it took us 30 mins to figure out the lights. Would have been nice if the staff explained this at check-in. Also they were renovating on our floor and they started early so it kept waking us up. "
