"If you are headed to Santa Monica/LA this is definitely the place to stay. It is reasonably priced, the staff is incredibly friendly, the amenities are so nice, the food at the restaurant is to die for but most importantly everything is CLEAN! It’s been a long time since I’ve stayed at a hotel that hits all of the important factors in a stay. I have absolutely no complaints about the property and my entire stay. I highly recommend and ocean view room, the views are incredible! You almost don’t ever have to leave the hotel! The pool is beautiful, the restaurant is open for all 3 meals, and you have everything you could need. Our stay included access to bikes at no additional cost which was also really cool! Could not recommend this hotel more, you won’t be disappointed!"

"Staff and location were brilliant The hotel itself is need of a revamp was very dated The aircon in our sounded like an old diesel engine But once I told reception about this an engineer was sent .The problem couldn’t be fixed so was given another room. Overall if you want a no frills hotel with a good location to Santa Monica pier area this would be ideal "

"10 out of 10, would definitely recommend! Pierside's location is perfect. Within walking distance to so many eateries and shopping at the 3rd ST Promenade. Sophia was so pleasant at check-in and the staff is very accommodating. We received a complimentary hour on the electric bikes, which was a fun activity. If I'm ever in the area again, this will be my first choice!"

"If you are looking for something luxurious this is not the place. Very run down. Don’t believe the pictures that say there is a nice walk to the beach. Yes, the beach is just down the walk way, but you have to go down some very steep stairs and through the gate to get there, you can not come back through the gate so you have to walk all the way up the street (hill) to get back all the way around to the front of the building. The washroom could use some updated features, like who puts regular shutter curtains in a shower on the window. Also, if you have a car make sure you call a head to reserve a spot. And you might be lucky even if you reserve one and pay for it to get one. Parking is very tight, don’t bring an oversized vehicle. Overall, it was a place to rest my head and that is all."

"Loved the salt and stone amenities in the bathroom. Bed was comfy. Valet cheaper than a parking ticket. Close to everything but a nice retreat in the city."
