Bed was VERY comfortable, the restaurant buffet bar was excellent. Staff was terrific! Property is showing it's age, but very well located off the highway. Not fancy but comfortable. Will be back!

We came to NY for the night to see the Great Pumpkin Blaze. We got in late and I lost my wallet. The woman at the desk was sooo nice and helpful! Our stay was great! And breakfast was wonderful! Such a great experience!

If you are looking for a clean, basic stay for a night with a decent free breakfast (no other meals available except Saturday and Sunday) at a lower cost, you may be pleased. If you are used to a more upscale stay with a comfortable bed and fluffy pillows and towels, a restaurant open for an evening meal or cocktail ( or ones within walking distance), and an updated atmosphere, not so much.

It's a dated hotel so don't expect nothing great. It's a place to rest your head for a nite or 2. Free basic breakfast included. Staff was all very nice and they make the most out of an older property. If you ask would I stay again for the price they charged, that is a definite NO!

Front desk staff were ok , room was clean although has that mildew smell also the linen had in the room was stained on one of the bed so I slept on the other bed since I had 2 full beds in the room that I was in , bathroom was clean , property was close to highway so you hear everything if you’re a light sleeper ..‘Breakfast was delicious especially the hash browns French toast and eggs coffee juices (oj cranberry and apple )bread best part was breakfast for me ..ample parking space ..

We recently stayed at the West Gate overnight as we were in the area for a concert. Staff were very helpful and friendly, however, the property itself looks as though it hasn't had any updates since the 90s. Walls and doors are dingy and dirty, the bedding/sheets had stains, the TV remote didn't work, the room had a musty smell, and the outdoor stair treads with held on with duct tape. Though I read that the breakfast received good reviews, I found it to be on par with a typical continental breakfast - definitely not restaurant quality. All-in-all, the beds were comfortable enough and it was sufficient as a less expensive place to crash for the night.

It’s a cheap stay and convenient, clean and staff is pleasant, dining sucks , restaurant use to be open all night but not anymore and the staff in dining room act like it’s their food and very cheap and always same breakfast!

The motel is an older one. The bathroom was small. The toilet was small and low to the floor. The room was average. Wi-Fi was very weak. Parking was great snd no additional cost. The buffet breakfast was excellent.

Stay away from this property if you value safety, cleanliness, and comfort. The hotel is outdated, poorly maintained, and falls short for the price. Main room: Nasty old dark rug with poor lighting and old, cheap tv. The bathroom: Caulk in bathtub was old and cracked. The faucet leaked so badly that my wife was forced to wrap a towel around it. Last, the rooms in this property are accessed from the outside like the motels of yesterday. I was impressed by the woman at the reception desk on check-in. Sadly, we had pre-paid for the room. Had we arrived earlier and without a pre-pay, I would have stayed elsewhere!
