"Ive stayed here a few times.
The rooms are really nice but it's the second time I've stayed out of about 4 times where the linen/towels have not been clean. I came to replace the towels by ultimately had to give up due to needing to leave. The room wasnt ever refreshed for the next night stay.
For the price (I paid about £400 for 2 days) it dosent really ever match up with the service, everything is too much trouble. Ive given it a few chances but there always seems to be so many friction...

"The great western is updating rooms . We got a family room that was newly renovated and it was beautifully done, we had a sea view and street view. There was a misunderstanding on my booking but staff were very helpful and sorted it all out. The hotel has limited parking but you have the option to prebook a space. "Clean, nice room for a single person. My private bathroom was Cosy.
The staff's were above and beyond the call of duty. They worked hard to maitain good standards.
Everyone was happy with their stay that i saw. Wish I'd gone to the bar there looked fantastic the morning after a party look. I missed it.
Would definitely stay again.
Want a double room next time. All the rooms have private bathrooms, this is not a back packers hostel, they are families rooms."

"I’d read bad reviews after booking so I was very worried. But we got a basic, decent chalet in a good location. It was quiet and safe. It needs a deep clean, mould on curtains, and cobwebs everywhere, but everything else was very clean. It was fine for the price we paid. Sykes cottages manage this chalet, but it’s Atlantic Bays reception, and they won’t know anything about your booking. "We love coming to your hotel as it gives us all the things we need.
Location is perfect surf shop for our fun. Unfortunately we always seem to have bad experiences with the restaurant it always gets sorted but would be nice if it didn’t happen.

"We arrived at the hotel late and upon arrival had a sign saying under renovations.
No pool/spa/gym/food.
Room was ok. However interconnecting door unlocked which puzzled the staff as to why we would want to lock it.
2nd night bar then closed and had to request more milk pots as no laundry service/restock had taken place.
Overall disappointed with the stay and feel it should be closed during renovations. The resort could be amazing but needs a lot of repairs.
For what was a basic room...

"Just not very good, reasonable price but not really budget or bargain, Great location next to the train, Great Western beach and Pub, Just not a very good hotel. The single room is tiny with a tiny bed and looks more like a student doss house. No air con, fan doesn't work, no lift to the 3rd floor.
Staff often not available at all, has a chintzy looking restaurant in the front but no idea what or if they serve, so many better places to eat, or stay for that matter.
