I think me and my partner would have stayed elsewhere had we known it was so 'student' focussed. People from outside the area really wont know that its 'two pound Tuesday' and other discounts for the younger crowd so overall this really wasnt for us

Cairn Hotel Newcastle Jesmond
The room did smell strongly of cigarettes which was unpleasant, and the window was left wide open so the staff must have known, although not the fault of the staff but the previous guest/s. Osborne Hotel
Excellent value. Clean comfortable rooms. Although we faced the road, there was little traffic noise through the windows. Free parking around the back of the hotel.
