Every staff member was so nice and helpful. The room was big! Elevators were a little noisy if your room is close to them. I would stay here again.

The staff is incompetent. He gave me a key to a room where another guest was staying . The other guest and I both complained to him. I told him the wake up call is at 4:30 am when I checked in. After he switched room. He forgot to put wake up call at my new room . I missed the train and spend more than 200 dollars to buy another ticket . In the morning, I called the front desk, I said I would not stay in the hotel anymore, because the hotel failed to do the wake-up call. The woman down there asked me why I would do that just because the hotel did not do the wake-up call.

Beautiful large double aspect room, friendly and helpful staff, lovely relaxation and bar areas. Close to UN, Field of Light and the East River. Sunrises over the East river and reflections on buildings were spectacular.

Nice hotel. Room was small. VERY small for a large person. Water pressure in the shower was terrible! And it took minutes for the water to get hot. Otherwise a nice place to stay.

The hotel certainly is a great location in the city. The room was very small and tight. Very tiny walking space around the bed. The water in the shower has very weak pressure.

I had a great experience at this property. The staff was amazing, and it was super clean. It was also away from all of the hustle and bustle but still within walking distance for just about everything you would need. Really great property. Will definitely stay here again.

This hotel was beautiful! Good walking distance from time square and a few nearby dining options. My stay here was pretty much perfect! The only comment I have is in regard to the AC unit in my room. I noticed that as it turned on/off to regulate the temperature, it made a loud noise that alarmed me often. Besides this very minor flaw, I enjoyed my time and I would definitely visit again!

Booked this hotel for a weekend in the city and had a great experience! My group utilized the free bag drop that the hotel offered since our transportation into the city arrived a few hours before our check-in. We had the king-suite room and it was great. Everything was clean and we had no issues. The location was also great, just a few blocks from the Chrysler building and Grand Central station. I will definitely be checking availability here again next time I am in the city!

I have stayed a the Westgate 3 times in the last year. The rooms are great. Since this is a renovated old hotel, each room is unique not cookie cutter like many new hotels. The staff is friendly and accommodating. On my most recent stay my room was at the back of the hotel so there was very little street noise. I will definitely be back.

Stayed here for a first trip staying in NYC. Excellent access to bus, subway, dining, attractions. We weren’t in the hotel much, but the bed was comfortable and staff at the front desk and bellman were extremely kind.

I’m not usually one to write much about hotel staff in my reviews, but I do want to recognize the team at Westgate for all their hard work and helpfulness! My family and I stayed here for 4 nights and had a really pleasant stay. Rooms were made up every day (which is actually rare these days), everything was clean, we felt safe, and they did a great job renovating a really old building to make it feel more modern and fun.

Overall a nice stay my few complaints are this, we asked for extra towels 3 times. There were 4 of us and only given 3 towels… secondly they tacked on another charge upon check in. Not the normal deposit that gets returned but a “destination fee” no explanation for it, but I paid it because I didn’t know what to do. The hotel is lovely, generally the staff were welcoming and friendly. I honestly would absolutely stay again just not the perfect stay this time.
